PRODUCTION EVALUATION

RESEARCH
 My weaknesses of my research would be finding the three existing
products, it was difficult to find the podcasts, I could only find videos
so I had to use these and just listen to the talking and ignore the
videos at sometime.
 My strengths of my research would be filling out the audience profile,
I found it easy to find out the psychographic and social status with
the PowerPoint's it made me think and chose carefully.
 I think to improve my research would be try harder to find podcasts I
think this would have helped me more to produce my own.
PLANNING
 My weakness of planning would be trying to find the right sound
effects and background music, I couldn’t just find the sound effects
and background music on their own I ended up using it from an
existing video. Another weakness would have to be my 8 day
schedule for the two weeks ahead as I didn’t know what to put in and
if I would be able to get everything done in the times that I said in the
schedule, but I managed to finish everything had had tine to make a
logo.
 My strengths of planning would be coming up with my ideas for my
podcast I came up with three ideas; music, personal problems and
media make up. I decided to go with media make up as my podcast I
looked at different products so I knew how to presents and how to
put across my podcast in a way my audience will want to listen to
more and wont get bored of just me speaking. Another strength
would be filling in the health and safety and contingency planning.
TIME MANAGEMENT
 I think I managed my time very well as I met all the dead lines and
had time to do extra work that I never planned to go (Logo for my
podcast) I think by always getting my work in on time allows me to do
extra work towards the project widening my knowledge.
 I think I could have made my radio podcast a lot better if I had longer
and if I had more confidence in my self as I kept putting it off
recording my voice over so if I had longer I would be able to improve
my over all radio podcast.
TECHNICAL QUALITIES
 Similarities- The two
podcast’s both have an up
beat backing track this
shows that they are aimed at
a young audience (15-24) as
this is the age where you
don’t care and you like all
the upbeat music.
o Differences- The podcast that I am
comparing my work to tells the audience
what brand of make up she is using this
will help the target audience know what
kind of shade and style of makeup.
o The podcast that I created has sound
effects as well as backing tracks this just
gives the podcast a different feel.
o The other podcast is very joyful and loud
in the way she is talking where as I am
just talking in my normal voice I think that
been joyful makes the podcast fun to
listen too.
AURAL QUALITIES
 My weakness of my radio podcast would have to be recording my
voice over as I don’t like taking and kept putting the recording off and
from the tone in my voice you cam tell I don’t like it.
 My strengths of my radio podcast would have to be putting it all
together editing the different clips and sound effects/background
music and making it run smooth.
 I think overall my radio podcast sounds good, I think it could have
maybe done with more sound effects as I have only use one sound
effect at the beginning of my podcast. I think it could have maybe
have been more creative with the sound effects, I could have made
them my self. The thing I like most about my radio podcast is how I
have made the background music louder when I leave a pause in me
talking I think it just ills the empty space.
AUDIENCE APPEAL
 I think that my radio podcast would appeal to my target audience, I
think that all of it would stand out to my audience as I thought very
hard and carefully to what they would like to hear. I think that the
background music that I have chosen would appeal to my target
audience as it is very up beat and teenagers like to listen to that type
of music. I think that the dialogue would appeal to my target
audience if I had more confidence as the tone of my voice sounded
like I was scared and didn't want to be there this could be a big
impact on the target audience and make them not want to listen to
the radio podcast.
PEER FEEDBACK
FEEDBACK 1
 What did you like about the product?
 Clear delivery style makes it easy to follow for the
audience
 The delivery split into stages makes it easy to follow and
resume listening to if the playback is stopped.
 What improvements could have been made to the
product?
 Change in background music between looks would
maintain interest for the audience
FEEDBACK 2
 What did you like about the product?
 I like how the music gets louder when you pause from
talking.
 Pausing in the delivery allows the audience to take in
the information or pause it to try out the effects.
 What improvements could have been made to the
product?
 I think by adding in more sound effects the audience
would remain interested as it is something different and
its not repetitive.
FEEDBACK 3
 What did you like about the product?
 I like how you have left a pause in between the stages
to allow the audience to write it down or do the step it.
 What improvements could have been made to the
product?
 I think the tone of your voice could have been a bit more
joyful this will the grab the audiences attention.
PEER FEEDBACK SUMMARY
 What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
 I agree that the music is very repetitive and if I changed
it between the different looks it would grab the target
audience.
 What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
 They is nothing I disagree with I think all the points that
have been made are valid and if I changed my podcast
these thinks would make it better and grab more
audience.
PEER FEEDBACK SUMMARY
 The changes I would make based on my feed back in my
radio podcast would be to change the background music,
change the voice over be more joyful and happy and maybe
add in more sound effects. I think by changing these little
things it would improve my podcast and will get a bigger
audience if its not repetitive and is fun.
