15. To access the start page always click 'My chains' in the black menu. Chainstories : User interface : My chains

17. A user can manage the basic functions for their chainstory from the coordinator panel . After a new chainstory has been created, the user who created the chainstory is the coordinator by default . This role can be tranferred to other subscribed users later on. 18. Each chainstory can be set to different status: a) Inactive b) Subscription period : Chainstory is being announced to other users. Users are able to subscribe to the story. c) Active : If a chainstory is set to active, users are able to write. d) Finished: The chainstory is finished and published on the website. 19. Subscription: After login a user finds stories to subscribe to in the corresponding section. Here are listed the stories which are in “Subscription period” and where no user of the same language has subscribed yet. Chainstories : User interface : My chains

By clicking on the title of a story in the section 'Stories to subscribe to' the user accesses the subscription panel where they find information on the story: - Title - Description - When created - Intended starting date - Subscribed users and languages By clicking on the 'Subscribe button' a user subscribes to this chainstory. 21. From the coordinator panel the coordinator can always see all the users subscribed to this story. The 'delete subscription' button gives the possibility to reject a certain user from a chainstory. Chainstories : User interface : Coordinator panel

Other options are: - Transfer coordinator role to other subscribed users. - Change the timespan each user has to write their part of the story - Change the order in which the subscribed users write the parts of the story. - Delete a whole chainstory Chainstories : User interface : Coordinator panel
23. To change the coordinator of a chainstory simply choose a subscribed member of the story and click on the 'Change coordinator' button. Chainstories : User interface : Coordinator panel
24. The coordinator can change the order in which users will write the chainstory by simpley dragging and dropping the names of the users in the desired order. If you want to reorder a story which is already active, click on the 'Change status' button on the coordinator panel to apply the modified calendar. Chainstories : User interface : Coordinator panel
25. Once the number of possible subscriptions is reached, the story has to be activated by the coordinator. When activated, the calendar is automatically assigned according to the number of days set in 'Timespan'. The active user – the member whose turn it is to write now – is marked in grey. 26. Even though the writing process is controlled automatically by the dates assigned on the activation of a chainstory, the coordinator may manually assign or block the editing rights for each user at any time. Chainstories : User interface : Coordinator panel
27. When edition is set to active for a user, this user accesses the editing panel by clicking on the title of the story Chainstories : User interface : My chains
28. The user inserts the title and text of their part of the chainstory. Chainstories : User interface : Write the story
29. The user has access to the editing panel until 'Mark as finished' is ticked, or the editing period determined by the calendar is over. Chainstories : User interface : Coordinator panel
30. On the coordinator panel the text is marked as finished. Edition passes to the following user. The coordinator is able to read and edit the texts posted by the other members. Chainstories : User interface : Coordinator panel
31. Once marked as finished the story is shown under 'My finished stories' . Chainstories : User interface : Coordinator panel
32. Once all the users have written their parts the coordinator has to mark the status of the chainstory as finished. Now the story will be published on the website. Chainstories : User interface : Coordinator panel
