As the economy opens up, the same is expected from organizations that want to remain edgy. Businesses are increasingly
dependent on complex social interactions.
That is why companies and society in general, are facing the challenge of creating new mechanisms to foster entrepreneurship
(to create new companies and create jobs and wealth), innovation (to create competent and valuables business models and
ways of doing things) and to be part of collaborative network systems. Education, companies or organizations are not isolated
pieces, they belong to a system, in which cooperation and collaboration are the daily base.

5. TZBZ is an innovation process consultancy company operating within the fields of
education and business, promoting and developing new business initiatives as

In education field we lead and design the creation and implementation of
transversal learning ecosystems in which we apply Team Academy team coaching
tools and methods, playing an active role in the enlargement of the Mondragon
Team Academy new business units both nationally and internationally.

changes and we accelerate the design of new services or strategic lines for

From our own experience as students/learners and as entrepreneurs, we totally
see that startups, students and established companies need to be closer than
ever. Not just spiritually, but physically, in order to learn together, create together

6. Mondragon Team Academy (MTA) is a global network of social innovation ecosystem labs made up of students and team-
entrepreneurs born in 2007 within the Faculty of Business Studies of Mondragon Unibertsitatea. MTA applies the methodology used in
TiimiAkatemia; a community of learners and team entrepreneurs that operates within the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences
(Finland).
The purpose of MTA is to transform (the environment) through team entrepreneurship, based on active learning and cooperative
values.

In May 2014 MTA was a community of more than 500 team-entrepreneurs "learning by doing" around the world, and it aims to become
an international community of entrepreneurship and team learning.

9. The Lasagna Model ( MINN 2 , Tampere 2013) is conceived and designed for corporations and educational institutions
that are willing to generate an ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation, while connecting and committing with the
environment and the society, wanting also to generate new busineses , new knowledge and a new ways of making
things happen. An environment in which new multidisciplinary, multi-cultural, and multigenerational projects are
naturally encouraged, supported and grown according to the XXIst century business philosophy.
10. 1. Center for innovation and entrepreneurship for entrepreneurs and start-ups!
The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will connect with different
organizations, ideas, projects, initiatives, etc. positioning it as a neutral and
open space, a border where innovations happen. This center will generate
new ideas and new business projects incubated in its earliest stages.

2. Learning activity: university or learning centers (teaching and research)!
From the University various advanced training programs, where innovation
and entrepreneurship skills will develop cross development. Young students
will participate in the activities of the Centre for Social Innovation and interact
with entrepreneurs and residents in the same projects as well as with other
companies in the same building, so that a natural osmosis between them
occurs.

3. Innovative Companies!
The third layer of the center will host the headquarters of innovative young
companies that are in a more evolved than those hatch in the center of social
innovation, new companies or large business groups in its infancy stage.
We are talking about companies with few years of life, and, therefore, have
already passed the first stages of launch and be in a new phase of
development and growth.
The Lasagna Model concept is designed as a single project based on the interaction and complementarity three self-
managed and self-sustaining activities.

12. The first prototype of our entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem is
being implemented and developed in Bilbao.

BBF is an urban ecosystem of learning, innovation and entrepreneurship
driven by Mondragon Unibertsitatea in strategic alliance with the INIT
Group and Bilbao city hall. The aim of the project is to bring together in
one place, under one integrated project, educational and innovative
business initiatives in order to create conditions for learning, creativity
and collaboration, promoting the development of new innovative
business initiatives in strategic sectors for the city.

Successful innovative companies with several years of experience, along
with executives from other companies (large and small) and
entrepreneurs who are starting their new business ventures and
university students of various nationalities who develop a process of
innovative and entrepreneurial learning. The strategic combination of
these realities generates a new scenario and reality for Bilbao and it´s
surroundings.
!
BBF is already a reality. Currently, 23 companies, 60 students and more
than 80 professionals are part of the community open to all society.
