There are several important reasons to study the scriptures regularly: 1) Studying the scriptures provides protection from temptation and keeps us from being led astray. 2) Studying the scriptures makes it easier to feel the influence of the Holy Spirit and receive inspiration and answers to life's questions. 3) The scriptures contain guidance for fulfilling all of our covenants and remembering Jesus Christ each day.

I do not recall anyone ever saying no. I do recall some people who when I would inquire further and ask about their scripture study, would say, "I do not have time." Then I would ask about their personal prayers, and the answer often was, “Well, I am not as consistent as I should be." On some occasions I would then inquire, "Do you, in fact, keep the covenant to always remember Him?"
