Reverend Nat's Hard Cider Washington Release
1. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider Expands to Washington Retail
Markets and Pubs
Enjoy Ciders that Demonstrate the Northwest Cider Style
PORTLAND, Ore. (March 15, 2013)—It’s time to get excited, cider lovers, there are
new ciders coming to your area soon. Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider is expanding into
Washington retail markets and pubs with two distinctive ciders — Deliverance
Ginger and Hallelujah Hopricot.
Both of these off-dry ciders come in 750ml. bottles and fit naturally into the
emerging Northwest cider style. In the U.S., hard cider is an industry that’s growing
by leaps and bounds from year-to-year valued at over $450 million in 2011.
“Washington has some great ciders and cider makers,” says owner and cider maker
Nat West. “I don’t want to replace any Washington ciders, but I do believe that the
ciders I create have a respectable place among them.”
Deliverance Ginger is made with American dessert apples. Fresh ginger juice is
added with just a hint of pure cane sugar and then fermented using wine yeasts with
light carbonation. This off-dry cider is definitely for the person who loves ginger, but
is looking to stray away from a wine cooler flavor and mouth feel.
Hallelujah Hopricot is an American apple Belgian wit-style cider steeped with
coriander, bitter orange peel and paradise grains, fermented with French saison and
Belgian ale yeasts — then apricot juice, whole-leaf Cascade and Amarillo hops are
added. It’s Nat’s best-seller — for obvious reasons — with the amount of hop-heads
there are in the Pacific Northwest.
On March 26, meet Nat West at The Noble Fir from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and try
both ciders. The Noble Fir is located at 5316 Ballard Ave. NW, Seattle, WA 98107.
2. Both ciders will be available to taste, as well as a third cider — Revelation Newtown
Pippin, which will be officially launched in Oregon and Washington later this spring.
