Plan for Technology?
This plan includes the goals, objectives and
strategies for all areas of technology use related to
students and staff in Clear Creek Independent
School District
The following documents were used to frame this
plan: CCISD District Instructional Improvement
Plan, No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, Texas Long-
Range Plan for Technology 2006-2020, E-Rate, and
Clear Vision Plan 2010
6. What is E-Rate?
E-Rate is a document used in formulating CCISD’s long range
plan for technology.
E-Rate stands for The Schools and Libraries Programs of the
Universal Service Fund
This program is administered by the Universal Service
Administrative Company (USAC) under the direction of the
Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and provides
discounts to assist most schools and libraries in the United
States to obtain affordable telecommunications and Internet
access.

The key to success for all students is the assurance that they
are fully engaged in their learning and that they have
opportunities that stimulate and initiate this engagement.
