They are so shiny
It come in different shapes
I love to see them

FLOWERS
Flowers are pretty
They are all over the world
so very soft, silky
vii
I am happy and tall
I wonder about rainbows
I hear sounds from the wall
I see them
I want to meet them someday
I am happy and tall
I pretend to be sad
I feel hurt
I touch the rainbow
I worry about them dying again
I cry they will never come back
I am happy and tall
I understand that it will eventually happen
I say they should be here
I dream that they are still here
I try to reach them
I hope they were still alive
I am happy and tall

Sonnet 8
Music to hear, why hear'st thou music sadly?
Sweets with sweets war not, joy delights in joy.
Why lovest thou that which thou receivest not gladly,
Or else receivest with pleasure thine annoy?
If the true concord of well-tuned sounds,
By unions married, do offend thine ear,
They do but sweetly chide thee, who confounds
In singleness the parts that thou shouldst bear.
Mark how one string, sweet husband to another,
Strikes each in each by mutual ordering,
Resembling sire and child and happy mother
Who all in one, one pleasing note do sing:
Whose speechless song, being many, seeming one,
Sings this to thee: 'thou single wilt prove none.'

COMPARE AND CONTRAST
Compare & Contrast - Italian & Shakespearean Sonnets
Italian
The first and most common sonnet is the Petrarchan, or Italian.
This sonnet is divided into two stanzas, the octave (the first
eight lines) followed by the answering sestet (the final six lines).
This sonnet type has a tightly woven rhyme scheme, abba, abba,
cdecde or cdcdcd.
Shakespearean
The Shakespearean sonnet is also called the English sonnet.
This sonnet follows a different set rules than the Italian sonnet.
Here, three quatrains and a couplet follow this rhyme scheme:
abab, cdcd, efef, gg .

Both They both follow a rhyme scheme. They are both common
types of sonnets
Different
Different rhyme schemes. Different set of rules.

MYSONNET
My dog likes to bark at many squirrels.
And he tries to get flies in the park
All dogs have a good sense of smell and sound
They are so very cute and some cuddly
Everyday they greet you at the door
And they cry until you pet them, so much
They are so fluffy and soft, so pretty
On hot days they pant so much
