Senior Prom Policies and Procedures
Please read the following information and complete all attached paperwork prior to purchasing tickets. A
parent/guardian signature is required.
The class of 2012 senior prom will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at The Skylands at
Randolph, located at 792 State Route 10, Randolph, NJ 07869. Students may not arrive after 8:00 p.m. unless
previously authorized. Any student who exits the prom early will not be permitted to return.
The style of dress for the prom is formal. Formal attire for men traditionally includes the following: dress shirt with
collar, necktie or bow tie, tuxedo, suit, sport jacket, dress slacks, shoes, socks, etc. Formal attire for women
traditionally includes the following: evening gown, dress, skirt with blouse, etc. Students dressed inappropriately
will not be admitted. In such cases, ticket money will not be refunded.
The prom is a BRHS event; all school rules and regulations apply.
A BRHS student ID must be presented when purchasing tickets and at the prom itself. ID must be in the possession
of all attendees at the prom at all times.
Students suspected of possessing or being under the influence of drugs, alcohol, and/or another controlled
dangerous substance will be referred to the Randolph Police Department.
Tickets are $65.00 and will be sold outside the main cafeteria during lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting
April 24th. The last day to purchase tickets will be Thursday, May 10th. Tickets are non-refundable.
Tickets may be purchased during lunches by check only; make checks payable to BRHS. Students who wish to pay
cash must pay Miss Kropp, in room 517, directly after school on Tuesday, April 24th, Tuesday, May 1st, or Tuesday,
May 8th.
Completed and signed permission forms must be submitted at the time tickets are purchased. Each student
must purchase his/her ticket separately from his/her date. Tickets will not be sold to students who do not
have a signed copy of the attached permission form.
BRHS seniors may bring underclassmen or students from other schools as dates; these students must show
identification at the check-in tables on the night of the prom. If you are bringing an underclassman or someone
from another school, please fill out the second portion of the permission form.
Seating arrangements will be made once ticket sales have closed. Sign-up forms for prom seating will be
distributed in homeroom on Monday, May 14th and will be due by Friday, May 18th. There will be no changes to
the seating arrangements after May 18th.
Students who are absent from school on Friday, June 1st may not attend the prom. Additionally, students
attending the prom will not be dismissed from school prior to 1:00 p.m. on June 1st. Plan accordingly for all
appointments. Students are required to report to Period 8 at 12:55 before leaving school at 1:00 p.m. Students who
leave prior to 1:00 p.m. will be charged with a cut in the unattended classes; a note will not be accepted. The
attached Early Dismissal Note may be turned in at the time of ticket purchase, or to the attendance office no
later than Friday, May 25th at 2:30 p.m.
Nominations for Prom King and Queen may be made on the attached form. Nomination forms must be submitted at
the time of ticket purchase. Voting will take place in homeroom on Friday, June 1st.
Please see the attached information regarding the purchase of flowers. If you wish to buy flowers, you may do so at
the time you purchase prom tickets; however, you must pay with a separate check. Checks for flowers should be
made out to BRHS-P.G. The deadline to order flowers is Friday, May 18th.
Portrait photography will be offered to each student/couple attending the prom by Lors Photography. Please see
the attached price list for details. Students who would like to purchase professional prom pictures must pay a Lors
photographer directly on prom night. Candid images will also be available for purchase to students and/or
parents at www.lorsstudio.com/candids after the prom.
Party on! DJs and Entertainment will set up two photo booths for student use during the prom. Each student will
receive a 2” by 6” frame as a prom keepsake.
Questions regarding prom policies and procedures should be directed to the Senior Class Advisor,
Miss Kropp, prior to the day of the prom.

Return this completed, signed form either at the time you purchase tickets, or directly to the
Attendance Office NO LATER than 2:30 pm on Friday, May 25th.
Students’ names will be on a Prom dismissal list. These students DO NOT need to be signed out.
My child has my permission to leave early in preparation for the Prom. I realize that this dismissal CANNOT
be prior to 1:00 PM and that students are required to report to Period 8 at 12:55 before leaving at 1:00. Failure
to report to Period 8 will be considered a cut of that class. I understand that these absences from periods 8 &
9 COUNT towards the High School Attendance Policy.
