Proposal for a Tech Incubator in Peel Region

  1. 1. We are proposing developing a 6,500 square foot ICT Business Incubator offering the region services including: business incubation and acceleration; public-private funding and collaboration in the areas of business and technology development, research and education; mentorship and coaching for entrepreneurs; focus programs for female tech entrepreneurs and foreign businesses and talent. We have developed a detailed 365 day timeline for roll-out and secured a location. Aside from private investors, we are seeking initial support from key partners, including: Cities of Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Federal and Provincial Govt., Universities, Microsoft, RICC, MaRS, OCE, ONE, Communitech, NRC, TiE, and others. Over the past few years we have established networks for ICT professionals that are being recognized throughout the GTA and represent a large portion of the local tech (business) community. What we have learned is that there is a need and great demand for a Mississauga-based Technology Incubator. Executive Summary
