Petro Features
Developed and used by Chevron, PETRO is now available to refineries and petrochemical plants.
Several projects have been implemented outside of Chevron using PETRO over the last 4 years
with great results. Process Frontier is a leading implementer of PETRO and has successfully
implemented 8 projects over the past 4 years.

Plan Development
Petro has been designed to support the planner in the efficient development of the Plan or Plans.
Regardless of the complexity of the underlying model new cases can be added in a matter of
seconds and cases can be executed in a fraction of a second. Comparing any two or more cases
in detail is a simple process using Petro.
A comprehensive set of standard reports allows the planner to effectively communicate the
results from the plan; all reports can be created in Excel. In addition, custom reports can be
created to support specific reporting requirements such as for blends.
Model Development
All models are created directly in Excel. The model development process is streamlined and
simplified by working at the matrix level when creating the models.
Process Frontier puts equal emphasis on model development and plant data analysis, the result
is a more accurate model, improved economic results, greater acceptance by operations and a
more sustainable model.
