(57) Abstract :
The quest for an engine which having the same or more power with higher fuel efficiency than the existing ones has started before
many years. As a result of all these researches a new engine concept is formed, which is a six stroke engine. Lot of research works are
conducting on this topic nowadays and ahead} six types of six stroke engines were discovered yet. Of these the resent developed three
six stroke engines, i.e., Beare head, Bruce crowers and Velozetas are undergoing tremendous research works. During every cycle in a
typical four stroke engine, piston moves up and down twice in the chamber, resulting in four total strokes and one of which is the
power stroke that provides the torque to move the vehicle. But in a six stroke engine there are five idle strokes for one power stroke.
The automotive industry may soon be revolutionized by a new six-stroke design which adds a second power stroke, resulting in much
more efficiency with less amount of pollution. In this project, a 3-valve four stroke, two wheeler engines is converted into six stroke
engine. There will be two inlet valves and one exhaust valve. One inlet valve is used for the passage of air-fuel mixture during first
stroke and another for fresh air intake during fifth stroke. After exhaust of a normal four stroke IC engine, second inlet valve opens
and fresh air is sucked into the engine and it is exhausted during sixth stroke. Thus additional two strokes will be obtained without the
consumption of petrol and efficient cooling also occurs. Such a modification will provide better efficiency and will reduce the
pollution to a great extent.

Flap valve type toilet wastes collection and automatic disposal system used in Railways and Transport Vehicles is disclosed. The
system consists of a collection chamber (1), discharge valve chamber (2), flap valve assembly (3), valve driving mechanism (valve
operating assembly 4, valve holding assembly 8, wind plate 6, swing frame 7). The system operates by the force of relative speed of
wind. During stoppage of train, the system collects human wastes in collection chamber (1) and valve (3) in closed position. As the
train moves away from town at designed specific speed, the valve (3) opens by the valve driving mechanisms (4, 8, 6,7) and human
wastes discharges on the ground. The valve (3) remains open at and above specific speed of train. As the train enters town at specific
speed, valve 3 closes, prevents discharging of human wastes on to ground. With this system tracks at railway stations and inside town
are kept clean and spreading of infectious diseases by human wastes prevented.

(57) Abstract :
a) Unwarranted driving out of the e-clips from their housing anchors because of the vibrations of a railway track and b) over-driving in
of the e-clips are not desirable. To prevent the unwarranted driving out of the e-clips, the tubular aperture of an anchor that grips the
middle leg of an e-clip is made inclined. In this inclined position of tubular-aperture, the middle leg of an e-clip has a tendency to
travel deep into the inclined-tubular aperture of an anchor towards the high end of the inclination. Thus, unwarranted driving out of e-
clips can be prevented. To prevent over-driving in of an e-clip, a ledge is made at an appropriate position on the surface of the
shoulder of the anchor to obstruct the path of travel of toe/heel. Thus, with these two changes of an anchor, the e-clips can be kept at a
pre-determined position of optimum driving in.

(57) Abstract :
A processing technology is developed to prepare a commercial product viz., Trichoderma coir pith cake (TCPC) using coir pith, maida
flour and Trichoderma harzianum biomass. It is found that dried TCPC packed in polythene bags can be stored at room temperature
(28± 2°C) for 10 months contains high level of T. harzianum population. Through a simple activation process of moistening the dried
TCPC and incubating under room temperature for 2 days, luxurious growth of Trichoderma covering the entire product is obtained
and thus the population multiplies to a very high quantity. T. harzianum population in dry TCPC after 10 months of storage was found
to be 4.0 to 6 x106 CFU/g which has increased to 12.3 to 18.7 x 106 CFU/g on activation. The population after one year could be
increased from 1.64x106 (range 1 to 3 x 106) CFU/g in dry TCPC to 5.4x106 (range : 4.2 to 7.2 x106) /g in activated TCPC.
Therefore, the commercial product has a maximum of 12 months shelf-life period. The new, simple and low cost technology
developed, thus, contains cheap coir pith, a waste from coconut industry converted into value added and environment friendly
commercial organic product for management of plant diseases.

(57) Abstract :
A sub surface dam is any structure designed to contain underground flow. The wall of such a dam is entirely enclosed in the soil, and
water is stored in the saturated soil. The dam wall is the main component of this technology and could be constructed using different
locally available materials. Cost of construction and strength are the two deciding factors while selecting the construction material.
Ferro cement has both. A sub surface dam has been constructed at CPCRI, Regional Station, Vittal using ferrocement technology.
Effect of sub surface dam on ground water was determined by monitoring the water table in the vicinity through out the year. It was
observed that the ground water table improved after the construction of the sub surface dam. Given the agro ecological and socio-
economic conditions that inhibit agricultural development in many areas. In such areas this technology has the potential to take
maximum advantage of the available water. Resourceful farmers or a group of farmers joined together can take up the construction
and thereby reap the benefit of water harvesting.

(57) Abstract :
The iterative decoding of blocks may be continued or terminated based on CRC checks. In an example embodiment, one iteration of
an iterative decoding process is performed on a block whose information bits are covered by a CRC. The iterative decoding process is
stopped if the CRC checks for a predetermined number of consecutive iterations. In another example embodiment, a decoding
iteration is performed on a particular sub-block of multiple sub-blocks of a transport block, which includes a single CRC over an
entirety of the transport block. The CRC is checked using decoded bits obtained from the decoding iteration on the particular sub-
block and decoded bits obtained from previous decoding iterations on other sub-blocks of the multiple sub-blocks. The decoding
iteration is then performed on a different sub-block if the CRC does not check. Also, the decoding iterations for the sub-blocks may be
terminated if the CRC checks.
