network powered by such things as: social networks, news & networking, blogs, etc.
2. Through social media the power to define and control a brand is shifting from corporations
and institutions to individuals and communities.
The benefit of social media is through participation.

Another key to success with social media marketing is to focus on quality vs quantity. It’s not
about how many ‘friends’ or ‘likes’ you have but instead what is the quality of those
relationships.

#1: Identify who your best customer(s) is/are.
#2: Master the skills of searching for your best customers.
#3: Build relationships with those who fit your target audience … join groups where you’ll
find those people, not necessarily where you’ll find your competiton.

7. A challenge to social media marketing is the time commitment. They suggest posting
something every day or at least every other day. An average time commitment appears to be
about an hour per profile.
8. The ideal best is to do a combination of outsourcing and in-house (yourself). The outsource
options below are just examples. They don’t necessarily recommend them as they are pricey.
