Good morning thanks for coming, it’s a pleasure for me to be with you todayI know you'll be excited about this: today I'm gonna make it easy for you know about It’s great to be here/ with you today
Powerpoint is my favorite software program An estimate according to Microsoft
Ppt is a powerful tool that's often misused in presentations
95% of all presentations are boring. If you have seen a bad presentation , maybe you a have a similar feeling to "Death by powerpoint“Has anyone experienced death by PowerPoint? Raise your handWhen your eyes are closen, you’re fighting to stay awakeDeath by Powerpoint is a sarcastic term for a presentation that is so boring, the audience attention is lost
Think about the best/worst presentations you’ve ever seen? And why was it badBadly designed slides with too much text or bad graphicsThink about the best presentations you’ve ever seen? What made it goodConversational
Let’s make the worlda better place.
When you open PowerPoint 2007, you will notice that it looks quite different from PowerPoint 2000 and PowerPoint 2003. The same tools are all there, but they are arranged very differently and new features have been added.
The MS Office Button contains the main file functions New, Open, Save, Save as, Print, Print Preview, etc. The Quick Access Toolbar contains shortcuts to Save, Undo, and Repeat menu bar displays a toolbar that provides a set of Tool Groups. View Tab >> Presentation Views Slide Sorter - Lets you see the big picture. Allows you to sort, move, add and delete slides easily. Useful near end of a project Notes Page - Displays a page layout of the notes Notes are not visible during the slide show. Slide Show - Plays the presentation from the beginning. Gridlines and rulers are used to measure and line up objects on a slide. View Tab >> Presentation Views >> Slide Master The Slide Master acts as a template for your entire presentation. Altering anything on the Slide Master will change it for all the slides in your presentation. Slide transitions are animation effects that appear between slides. They can be distracting if overused Dialog Box which offers more options and settings related to that Tool Group
Too much text makes it look busy and is hard to read.Include only necessary informationmatch colors and backgroundsDark letters against a light background work
face the audience and make eye contact and take the main point on the slide
My recipe: elements for Good presentation If you are not passionate about it then they won’t
SmartArt Graphics ConverterThis feature is available in both ppt 2007 and 2010 versions of PowerPoint and you can use it if you want to make that boring list of bullets look nicer.
Right click on the file's icon with your mouse. Select 'Show' from the menu that is displayed. PowerPoint opens and runs your slide Show. When the show finishes, PowerPoint closes. Your audience never sees the PowerPoint working window at all
You have a big PowerPoint file of over 20 MB. The presentation file contains a good many of pictures. You need to make it smaller for both slim memory on your PC and easier emailing to others. the more objects embedded in a PowerPoint, the larger the file
Don’t kill people, inspire peopleIf the presenter is addicted to reading bullet points, then everyone in theroom suffersUse simple fonts- Microsoft PowerPoint doesn't embed fonts by default, which means that you may have a font on your computer that someone else does not.capital lettersMakes text hard to readIf you are presenting on an unfamiliar computer the font you have chosen may not work.
