Objectives of the Study
The main objective of the study is to measure investment
performance by the Social Islami Bank. To achieve the main
objective, the study covers the following specific objectives.
The objective of the study is:
To study investment mode of SIBL
To study investment procedure of SIB
To measure the investment performance of the bank
The main source of information for developing these project activities has been describe below:
Sources of Data:
In order to make the Report more meaningful and presentable two sources of data and information
have been used widely.
The ‘Primary Sources’ are-
Practical work exposures from the different desks of various departments of the Branch covered.
Relevant file study as provided by the officers concerned.
Informal conversation with the respective officers & staffs of the branch.

It shows that from the above graph that the
recovery percentage was high in the year of
2015. The recovery percentage was decreased
in the year of 2016 and slightly increased in
the year of 2017.
Findings
During my organization consulting in the SOCIAL ISLAMI Bank following positive things are find out from my
observation:
The investments and advance department takes a long time to process an investment because of the manual
process of sanctioning.
Absence of Money Market and inter-banking due to Islamic Shariah regulations and lack of separate Islamic
Capital Market
Lack of Business & Technical relating information, i.e. sometimes client try to hide though his business is
environment friendly or not.
The growth rate of Bai-Mujjal Modes of this branch increased by the year.
Investment position of this branch in 2015 is better as compared to previous year.
Branch Manager Conscious efforts to achieve the targets and knows how to motivate employees and how to
represent the Bank well in the local community.
The controlling officers are effective in providing necessary guidance and support to the branch.
The strategy and policy making is effective of Branch Manager. Therefore, in spite of intensity of banks, the bank
has possessed its place in the competition.
Bank uses effective plan of diversification of investment.
Recommendation means to offer some propositions on some specific issues. However, it is very complicated for
me, as a student of MBA, to give any suggestion or recommendation about SOCIAL ISLAMI Bank Ltd. That is
why, the following precautions and suggestions can be put forward only from my part to smooth the functions of
the Investment department under my study area.
Management should take some steps to protect the problem in IT sector for investment activities.
Try to maintain the mechanism of modes of investment strictly and the supervision of Shariah Board must
continue to ensure the Shariah principle.
Bank can introduce new types of advance to meet customers’ changing demands, like, Auto credit or Marriage
credit.
Bank should be more sincere to increase the investment recovery.
Introducing of Islamic Capital and Money Market.
Bank should monitor for deferral documentation cases.
Bank should keep their annual report, brochure, bulletin etc. available to provide their customer.
Bank should increase their office space and take more care in interior decoration.
Recommendations
The core part of Bank Management is Investment Management. The existence of a bank depends on
the Investment management, because if Investment management fails to have a well-diversified
advance portfolio then the bank may lose all its Investment that is the savings of the depositors and
owner’s equity. The Investment management does all sort of the activities regarding the Investment
and advances.
Social Islami Bank Limited is a third generation private commercial bank in the country with
commendable operating performance directed by the mission to provided prompt and efficient service
to clients. It provided a wide range of commercial banking service. SOCIAL ISLAMI Bank has an
achieved success among its peer group within a short span of time with its professional and dedicated
team of management having long experience, commendable knowledge and expertise in conversion
with modern banking. With all its resources, the management of the bank firmly believes that the bank
would be able to encounter problem that may arise both at micro and macroeconomic levels. The
management of the bank is maintaining an efficient portfolio in order to have a healthy growth and
retain customer satisfaction.
