  3. NARCEA RIVER
  4. Narcea river is the second most important river in Asturias. It’s the principal tributary on the left of Nalón river. Nalón and Narcea rivers
  5. Narcea river is sources in Fuentes del Narcea and it flows in Nalón river, in Forcinas (Pravia). A large part of its high course is in the natural park Fuentes del Narcea, Degaña and Ibias. Fuentes del Narcea Narcea river in Cangas del Narcea

  14. The battlements
  15. The battlements are in the town hall with the palace of Conde Toreno.
  16. When there is an important event the people come to the battlements for the sights that it has.
  17. Tipical square of the village with terraces and banks,is a meeting point for the tourists and people of the village.
  18. MONASTERY OF SANT JOHN BAPTIST (CORIAS)
  19. Saint John the Baptist was a Benedictine monastery in Corias on the right bank of the Narcea dedicated to Saint John the Baptist. It was built in 1022 thanks to the efforts of the counts Piñolo Jimenez and Aldonza Muñoz and it passed to be occupated by benedictine monks.

  21. Muniellos
  22. Muniellos is situated at the south – west part of Asturias. It ocupates about 5.542 hectares, packed of vegetation, animals…A wonderful world full of live. It is one of the most natural and clean place in Asturias. A lot of people visit and make tours throught it.
  23. In the past, Muniellos suffers a lot, because the people contaminates it a lot, cut wood or kill animals. Now the people try to take care of this litle but wunderful place. Muniellos is a place that every person in Asturias knows and loves. It is worth to visit it.
  24. There is a lot of diferent vegetation and animals in Muniellos, most of them in danger of extinction. Some of them you can see in the next pictures:
  25. It became a wildlife because it preserves very old trees, bushes, and a lot of diferent types of animals. The water give live to all of the diferent vegetation and animals.
