This document describes an automatic lamination machine that can laminate small items like visiting cards and driver's licenses. The machine uses a permanent magnet DC motor and conveyor belt to move items through the machine. An AC-powered heating element and blower are used to apply hot air that laminates the item. The machine allows for semi-automatic or fully automatic operation and offers benefits like reduced costs, increased safety and production over manual lamination.

1. LAMINATION MACHINE
ABSTRACT:
Automatic laminating machines, designed with represent an ideal choice for professional
single sided lamination in small and medium size visiting card, driving licenses and etc.
The inside of the lamination pouch is coated with a heat-activated film that adheres to the
product being laminated as it runs through the laminator. The substrate side of the board
contains a heat-activated adhesive that bonds the print to the substrate. This can be any of
a number of board products or another sheet of laminate.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
This is an era of automation where it is broadly defined as replacement of manual
effort by mechanical power in all degrees of automation. The operation remains an essential part
of the system although with changing demands on physical input as the degree of mechanization
is increased.
Degrees of automation are of two types, viz.
Full automation.
Semi automation.

WORKING OPERATION:

3. The Permanent magnet D.C motor is used to rolling the conveyor, so that the visiting card to be
moved from one place to another place. The regulated D.C power supply or 12 Volt Battery is
given to the Permanent magnet D.C motor. The visiting card to be exactly kept in the bottom of
the heater with blower arrangement with the help of D.C motor switch On/Off.
The A.C power supply is applied to the heating element. The heating element gets heated and
produces hot flames out from the heating element. The blower consists of A.C motor and
impeller (fans). The A.C motor coupled with the impeller (fan). The impeller consists of more
number of blades. It is fixed above the heating element, so that hot air forced to the visiting card
(to be laminated for example visiting card, driving license and etc.). By keeping the visiting card
for some time in the heater with blower arrangement hot air passing to the visiting card so that
to be laminated. The blower hot air is used to laminate the visiting card.
