Institutional Enabling Environment for Increased Research Uptake: Theory of Change Understanding of Target Audiences Availability of Relevant Content  ‘ Information Capability’ Programme Raised Awareness Institutional Policies and  Incentives Managed ICT Infrastructure
Progress to Date  (against logframe) Building  individual  capacity to stimulate demand Develop a “training for trainers” course for information staff based on best practice and disseminated through 4 regional partners and online to at least 100 recipients  4 courses co-developed with 4 partners (ITOCA/Mann Library at Cornell, INASP/Univ of Zambia)  Trained 83 researchers/librarians from 32 institutes in 8 countries who went on to train 669 participants Building  organisational -level information capability Develop a monitoring and evaluation toolkit to assess the impact of information capability interventions and enhance the design and management of these and share with 40 partners Developed and tested Theory of Change Developed and tested  M&E tools (pre- and post- course surveys, online skills assessment) Building  sector-wide  information capability Convening two international events on information capability in different regions to enable the sharing of good practice SCECSAL event and report, Botswana Presentations at ICT4D, LILAC, IFLA on our work

Progress to Date (against logframe) Building individual capacity to stimulate demand Develop a “training for trainers” course for information staff based on best practice and disseminated through 4 regional partners and online to at least 100 recipients 4 courses co-developed with 4 partners (ITOCA/Mann Library at Cornell, INASP/Univ of Zambia) Trained 83 researchers/librarians from 32 institutes in 8 countries who went on to train 669 participants Building organisational -level information capability Develop a monitoring and evaluation toolkit to assess the impact of information capability interventions and enhance the design and management of these and share with 40 partners Developed and tested Theory of Change Developed and tested M&E tools (pre- and post- course surveys, online skills assessment) Building sector-wide information capability Convening two international events on information capability in different regions to enable the sharing of good practice SCECSAL event and report, Botswana Presentations at ICT4D, LILAC, IFLA on our work
