The social media campaign, which will start on 22 May 2017, involves an outreach to
parent bloggers to become advocates of KiasuParents.com in its drive to enhance
parenting skills in Singapore. These specially selected bloggers have been selflessly
offering valuable advice to parents in Singapore, and KiasuParents hopes to bring them
together and help them increase their reach to more parents.

of themselves working or having fun with their children, between 22 May 2017 to 21
June 2017. Entries must be accompanied with a photo story to share their parenting
experience. A total of $10,000 cash prizes has been set aside for the winners.

Since KiasuParents.com’s launch in 2008, its platform has attracted many parents to
network with one another through lively forum discussions in varied topics ranging from
Primary One registration to recommendations for a good dentist in town. Many parents
also rely on the site’s AskQ feature to get support from the community and help their
children with their academic problems. To date, the portal enjoys 3 million page views
monthly and has over 125,000 registered members and more than 11,000 Facebook
Through the campaign, KiasuParents.com aims to promote a greater sense of
community spirit amongst Singaporean parents and increase their willingness to share
their knowledge with others. Parenting should not be a lonely process, and many
selfless parents have contributed via the platform in the last 10 years, to share and help
new parents navigate the complex task of bringing up children in
Singapore. KiasuParents.com aims to be the bastion for kindred spirited parents in
Singapore, providing a one-stop platform for parents to find other like-minded parents,
and be better informed on how we can play, educate, and work with our children.
Mr Andrew Chow, a Brand & Social Media Strategist, Speaker and Author will helm the
campaign and reach out to local parent bloggers to become KiasuParents.com’s
Kindred Spirit Parents.
Mr William Toh, founder of KiasuParents said: “We are a community by parents, for
parents who are concerned about our children’s development. Every child is unique,
and every child is gifted in his/her own ways. The open sharing and diversity of our
community help parents to identify and groom their children's passions and natural born
talents. Together, we hope our children will grow into responsible, principled, and
caring parents themselves.”
