  19. 19.  Asian insurers are investing heavily in digital transformation that will enable them to innovate  Access to new data & technologies provide a radical transformation opportunity for insurers  New technologies will support stronger customer engagement aiding distribution models and processes.  Underwriting & risk management practices can be potentially improved by reducing the length and invasiveness of risk assessment and risk management; enhancing risk selection and refining policy pricing.  Support a better understanding of underlying risk factors in a digital environment  There are multiple strategies for insurers to innovate with insurtech /tech giants from partnership to investment  But not all tech innovation will succeed - adoption of test & learn approaches in secure environments with insurtech, reinsurers & regulators is key to success !
