Persuasive Essays : Persuasive Essay
When I began this class, I loved to write persuasive essays. I loved to write about my own opinions
and I was quite good at convincing people to agree with my stand points. To convince others to
agree on my point of view was an extraordinary feeling. I am very good at getting my point across
and giving my reasons on why I feel the way I do about a certain situation. I loved writing persuasive
essays because I love to read them as well. I love how persuasive essays have a call–to–action;
giving the readers a chance to do something about the situation. I am all for protest and rights for
others, if I believe someone is wrong I will stand my ground and prove that it is wrong. I loved to
write persuasive essays because, I am a persuasive person in life. My opinions matter just as much
as everyone else. Writing persuasive essays, is like writing from the soul. To be able to put my all
into a piece and show why it means so much to me. By taking this class, I have come to enjoy the
research paper. I feel now as I writer I still love persuasive writing; just know I include research to
help strengthen my opinions. I am an organized writer as well as a descriptive writer, being able
to write things in logical order and having things well explained for a reader. I now understand the
meaning and how to write about things I may not always agree with. Being able to describe my
writing, giving more detail is something taking this class has taught me. Giving my readers a better
visual is

Examples Of Persuasive Speech On Procrastination
General Purpose: To Persuade
Specific Purpose: When we procrastinate and put things off, it reflects how inefficient we are in
every aspect of our lives.
Thesis: Procrastination is the main result of disorganization whether it's at home, work or school.
I.Introduction
I will do it later. I will do it tomorrow. I will start it on Monday. Oh, I'll get to it next week. If you
have said any of these statements then, you probably have a problem with procrastination. I know I
have done it and we all do it in some way whether its home, work or school.
A.Attention Getter
Today, I am going to persuade you to stop this habit from continuing. I am going to explain what
procrastination is, why we procrastinate, and ways to help you stop procrastinating....show more

Their tired, feeling lazy, find the material boring, and even boredom. Whether it's paying a parking
ticket, doing laundry or organizing your closet, we've all put certain things off. Procrastinators live
in a constant state of denial not thinking about the long term consequences. As tempting and easy as
it is, avoidance always catches up. An example, making changes in your diet right away and not
saying you will start till Monday.
C.Statement of Third Main Point
There is a certain irony with procrastination, things we put off doing accumulate to the point of in
manageability and feelings of anxiety increase which, is why we procrastinate anyway.
Here are some tips to help break the procrastination habit:
Make a list everything that needs to get done and keep it in a viewable area that you use a lot. Like
your refrigerator or your desktop on your computer.
Give yourself a break. Life can be quiet hard. To be balancing a career with family and finances
with free time can be challenging.
Set small goals and reward yourself for obtaining them.
Create new habits. If you are the type of person that waits until the last minute to pay your bills
maybe setting a reminder for yourself to pay them on time every month will

Persuasive Speech : Effective Communication
In writing it's important to have an understanding of what you're trying to convey for your audience
in addition to how you you will present your ideas. Effective communication extends beyond having
well organized writing expressed in complete and coherent sentences. The style, tone and clarity of
writing must also be considered, as they are constantly changing relative to the audience. Again,
analyzing one's audience and purpose is essential to successful writing. Appropriately, when choosing
the most effective language, it is important to consider the document objective as well as the reader.
In essence, this idea of effective use of language has been the overarching theme of this online
English course. Each writing assignment...show more content...
Thus, the style of language used within the text was often industry specific and possessed a more
academic feeling. For example, in the text I often used abbreviations and slang acceptable within the
discourse such as, SCM Supply chain management, KPI Key performance indicator, and RDT
Resource dependence. The word choice in this assignment is indicative of that fact that language is
chosen in a manner that is appropriate for both the audience and the purpose of the writing.
Furthermore, perhaps the greatest contrast and the most evident of how language works differently
in various types of writing is the discussion blog post. The blog post allowed the class to engage in
different types of formality of language. The formality of the language one uses should match the
formality of the situation and the relationship between the writer and reader. Therefore, as the
public audience was a class of online students taking a required writing course in the summer, the
formality of my writing has often been very informal. For example, in my blog post addressing
my concern over the unworthy power of BeyoncГ© I wrote, "It was the year 2008 when the
world was blessed with the images of BeyoncГ© (unapologetically) dancing around in a leotard.
Not only is BeyoncГ©'s single lady video one of her most notable hits it begins her what is now a
decade long relationship ending spree" (Marquis, 2016 ). The formality

Persuasive Essay On Success
Goals, something every human being on this planet has and to reach those goals you must be
successful. We set goals to fulfill our purpose in life, but to do that, you must be successful in
meeting and completing those goals. "How Bad Do You Want It?" is a motivational speech that
highlights the requirements of being successful. This speech is important to study because success
is so vital and important for our survival as human beings, it changes the world. No matter your race,
religion, culture, etc., you want to be successful and that will have a different definition for
everyone, because only you can define what success means to you. "How Bad Do You Want It"
encourages its audience to think differently about wanting to be successful and how to make it
happen. This speech holds all the components Aristotle says a speech needs to be effective which
include, persuasive, decorative, and informational, also meaning motivational, actionable, and fun
(Morgan, 2016). While watching the football player perform each exercise repeatedly, I witnessed
the effort and dedication he exerted through each set – this commitment resonated with me, as I am
also an athlete who is expected to elicit these qualities. Not only hay, the video serves as
confirmation that success is only attainable for those who want it bad enough and are willing to
work for it. Even the background music playing provoked an internal motivation to be proactive.
By delivering Eric Thomas's speech in his unique hip

Persuasive Essay On Daycare
Leaving your child with someone else as you head off to work every day is not easy: As a parent,
chances are, you long to be with your child 24/7. This is especially true for new parents. However,
once maternity leave has ended, even mom must return to work. While there are several child care
options available, one of the best options available is daycare. That said, choosing the daycare center
that suits the needs of your family best will require a bit of research.
Choosing a Daycare Provider: What Parents Need to Know
Some daycare providers have licensed caregivers. These licensed caregivers receive special training
to ensure the children are given exceptional care.
10 Signs of a Good Daycare Provider
1. A Stimulating Environment
When you...show more content...
Are the toys provided age–appropriate and in good shape? Ask about daily activities: These
activities should include talking, singing, dancing, reading and on–the–floor playtime.
2. Security
Any daycare that you choose should have a locked door policy. This ensures that your child cannot
just roam around the neighborhood. Ideally, only staff members, individuals touring the facility and
adults who are dropping off or picking up their children should be allowed in the center. All adult
visitors need to be closely monitored, including you!
3. Age–Group Separation
Toddlers and older children should not be mingling with babies who are under the age of
12–months. Toddlers can be highly–spirited and somewhat unsteady on their feet. In addition, they
have yet to master the art of being gentle with infants.
4. A Clean, Healthy Setting
Look for a health and sanitation rules sign. This sign should address hand washing procedures
related to food preparation and diaper changes. Additionally, it should outline the steps taken to wash
and sanitize toys, feeding utensils, and pacifiers, etc.
5. A Safe Setting
Make sure there are:

Persuasive Essay On Happiness
There is a common misconception on happiness, people have twisted the definition of true happiness
into a material–based feeling. People now find happiness in worldly values such as wealth,
recognition, and success. A person learns to rely on money and success as their source of happiness
rather than looking within for a more permanent solution to their sadness. The answer to a sad life is
not money, recognition or success, when in reality, the answer is to and content with life. Trusting
happiness is present removes any ideas believing "happiness" brought on from economic and
personal success. A person should not have to develop greedy values in order to achieve a strong
sense of happiness. Happiness is freely given, but people are searching for it in the wrong places;
happiness is not a result of financial wellness or success, it is the result of a satisfying view on
existence.
For generations, wealth has signified power and happiness. If a person is wealthy, he or she has
power and therefore as everything; if a person has everything, he or she is ultimately "happy."
Increased wealth supposedly prompts a surge in happiness. Power and financial prosperity blur
worry, caused by troubles, that a person faces by making the troubles seem minute and less
daunting. The troubles are no longer troubling once money and success cover them up. New
purchases and awards help cover up these worries, allowing the person to feel free and "happy" to
enjoy life. Worries, however, do not stay

Persuasive Essay On Early Childhood Education
Beggining ones education young, prepares one for the future. Early education has been proven to
be beneficial in many aspects throughout life. Children may dread the idea of starting early but in
the long run starting early can make a significant difference. Also some may even be ahead of his
/her peers in the following years. Early childhood education should be a requirement due to the
ability it has to help gain early skills, necessary positive behaviors, and increased brain
development. Children dont have to go to a legit child care facility to get an early education. Early
childhood education comes in many forms most of the learning starts at home. "Playing with your
child helps keep your child engaged in the kind of play where learning occurs. Your interest,
questions, and comments as you play alongside will help your child use toys productively,"(How
to Support Children's Approaches to Learning?). In saying that children learn best through play
based experiences they learn from things they experience or items they can touch and hold.
Children learn from the comments thier parents give, they pick up on the little things. Children
who don't participate in some type of quality education programs are 50 percent more likely to be
placed in special education. Children are also 25 percent more like to dropout of school and are
60 percent more likely to never attend college. 40 percent are more likely to become teen parents
,and finally 70 percent more likely to become a teen parent.
Not all children comprehend things at the same level, that's why it is so important to teach them
basic skills young so later on throughout life certain tasks will not be so hard for them. Children
can also gain life skills just by doing simple things such as working puzzles. While working the
puzzles children gain problem solving skills as they try and fit the pieces together and figure out
what goes where, it also develops a sense of persistance.(How to Support Children's approach to
learning?). Children need to learn the basic skill of problem solving because it is needed for tasks
throughout life whether it is a math problem or real life problems. Persistence is needed in many
situations where the child may want to

Persuasive Essay On Save Animals
Animals are the beginning to the best nerve wrecking filled love you could ever dream of for
your life. Ever since I was a young child, I've always resonated with the idea of helping animals
more so than anyone and anything else in this world. My love for animals had begun when I was a
mere four years old. I've always had pets: dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and much more. To find
out more about how to help adoptable animals in shelters, I contacted Amanda Smasal, a community
outreach coordinator at Wayside Waifs. Wayside Waifs isno–kill shelter located in Kansas City,
Missouri which has adoptable dogs and cats, ready and willing to go to safe, loving homes. When
I first emailed Smasal asking if she would participate in the interview, I felt overwhelming fear
and began to panic about the whole encounter. The fear of having to ask someone I had never met
to talk with me is something that scares me. Nonetheless, I sent the email asking politely yet
efficiently to see if she would give me a few of her precious minutes to answer questions about a
cause worth fighting for: animal rescue hospitals. She quickly responded to my quaint email
approximately a day later stating she would happily answer any and all questions I have,
significant or insignificant. The questions took a couple days to figure out. The few days I had to
create the questions were filled with creativity and a tad bit of questionable ideas. The questions I
asked her were the things I would want to

Persuasive Essay On Working Out
Since humans have been created millions of years ago, we were made to be active, go out hunt
and gather materials to survive. Now we just sit down on desks and type bunch of 0's and 1's.
Although, We are still built to be active and the main way to do that today is by working out and
burn our bodies at the gym. Working out is not just about getting six–pack abs or having huge biceps
and chest, Working out is about changing your lifestyle and make sure you live healthy long life
with no diseases that would make you hate yourself when you are older. Exercising is how you feel
young forever. We keep getting older and we are older than we were one–second ago, but that does
not mean, We cannot have control over our life and be young in heart and be healthy as we are
when we are young. Nowadays people just sit down, order everything online and try to not move as
much as possible, or that how I was until my freshman year at Arizona State University. I was not
active at all and had self–esteem issues and weighted 220 pounds, and my major is computer
science (CS) which mean, I get to sit down for hours typing codes and study for all different sorts
of hard classes and that increased my anxiety and stress. Then, I started working out and my life
changed, I lost 60 pounds, felt happy about myself and how I look, all the stress I had from
classes which anyone who takes calculus, computer classes know how hard they can be, it just
decreased and I could feel like everything is going to be fine at the end, just have to try harder and
that is it. In an article by dozen of PHD scientist in metabolism and fields related to that, they said,
"There is strong evidence that physical activity is a key factor in maintaining a healthy body
weight and reducing the risk of many health problems, including hypertension, cardiovascular
Figure 1 facts about not being active disease, osteoporosis, and type 2 diabetes"(Van Domelen,
2011). This is saying that being physically active is a way to maintain your health and try to
prevent so many diseases that are listed above. Being active and going to the gym has a lot of
good effects on the daily life and as shown in (Figure 1) above, not working out results in at least
300,000 death

Persuasive Essay On Self Care
A crucial step to living free is self–care. So, what is self–care? Self–care is (different for every
person)unique on an individual basis. Leonowicz stated, "With this in mind, there cannot be one
blanket strategy for practicing self–care (Leonowicz, 2)."One must feed his or her emotional,
physical, mental, and spiritual needs. On an emotional standpoint, this may include surrounding
yourself with people with healing potential(or who exude positive energy and thus are helpers at
healing the soul . For example, I have friends who are able to change my negative mood to positive
mood in a matter of seconds. Having these friendships are not only therapeutic and but also a
necessity to maintaining my mental wellness. In addition to the emotional aspect, one must take
care of his or her physical needs. This is different for each person; some may need to nourish their
bodies with more healthy food and water, whereas others need to be more active and exercise
more. From a mental perspective, an individual could require more academic stimuli to thrive and
hence more exposure in a university setting. Also, some may need stress relief from their jobs and
family. There are a number of mindfulness practices such as meditation, yoga and tai chi. On a
spiritual level, some people may find peace in religion and prayer. music to heal ones soul. These are
all simple examples of different ways to achieve self–care and peace of mind.
After enumerating the aforementioned aspects of self–care,

Essay on Health and Diet
As Joseph Campbell says "Your life is the fruit of your own doing. You have no one to blame but
yourself." The majority of people in our society affirm that the best solution for our health problems
is 'magic bullet'. We say that because it is the only way we find to get easy and fast results from it.
When we take the magic bullet we do not think about the consequences, but then after the bad
reaction, we want to blame it on the doctors or business companies that sell it. What can we do to
stop society from use magic bullet as the best solution to their health problems? Here are three
reasons why we should not use a magic bullet as our best solution. The magic bullet is easy for us,
but not a permanent solution; it is faster to take the pain away, but addictive; Magic bullet also
saves our lives but give problems in the future.
First, we should not depend on the magic bullet because it is a temporary easy solution. People
think of 'magic bullet' as a medicine that cures our illness like magic that happens from a day to a
night. Yes, it's true! However, the magic bullet does not cure us forever because business companies
want to keep making money. For example, if we read the article Doctor With MS Makes Film on
Collapse of US Healthcare we will see a line that the author says "We a taught a disease and then we
are taught the medication." Which means that those business companies who make the medication
pay hospital and medical school to lest talk

Persuasive Essay On The Art Of Art
Art declares many things. It's a way for people to articulate their views, express their emotions, and
communicate to the world in a way that gives them creative release. This ability to exhibit one's
views in a imaginative and safe manner is exceptionally important to society's growth, and to border
this freedom to articulate is detrimental. Art should not be hidden and concealed permanently from
the public eye because some see it as vulgar due to the fact that many people have varying
definitions as to what is crossing the line. Only certain, obvious things can be noted as truly indecent.
Censorship is not an easy subject. As an artist, there is often a lot of tolerance for the obscene,
from appreciation to detail on the human figure or the unique renditions of animalistic
interaction. However, the majority of the public might find the same things that the artists see as
a unique interpretation as vulgar. It is easy to see that such a standpoint must be taken into more
consideration, as the point of indecency can differ greatly for a conservative Christian compared
to a liberal atheist. The two images of what each group considers unseemly would most likely
range in their obscenity, and so it would be difficult to put a line where one should be crossed. "If
an image offends very many people, sooner or later someone will invoke the law, and along with
it judges, legislators, policymakers, and the police," quotes Melinda Hinkson in Australia's Bill
Henson scandal: notes on the new cultural attitude to images. Here we have a majority rule, where
an image should only have action dealt upon it if enough people want change. Such censorship is
easy to determine when there are pieces depicting derogatory themes, such as child pornography or
racial notions. But there are multiple cases where there are two sides of the story, and it is not as
simple.
A statue named Truth is Beauty by Marco Cochrane has recently been constructed in the city of San
Leandro, here in the bay area. This statue depicts a nude woman dancing, her body semi–geometric,
and although you can not vividly see the all of the womans body parts, it is not difficult to know
that she is supposed to be depicted as naked. A completely naked figure,

Persuasive Essay On Procrastination
Have you ever postponed something super important because you wanted to have fun on a Friday
night? Convincing yourself "Oh, I'll just get it done tomorrow?" This action of putting off a task
until the next day or a later time is called procrastination. Someone displaying procrastination would
either be delaying their work for another job that they consider more important or distracting
themselves with an activity that is more interesting. Many people believe that only disorganized or
lazy people acquire or pick up this intrusive habit, but I disagree with this misconception. Productive
people, too, occasionally lack the desire to get things done on time. Take for example myself; I have
always struggled with this mannerism and even more...show more content...
The prefrontal cortex is what makes an individual decide to engage in a task. With that in mind,
putting work off makes it easier for the limbic system to dominate and give immediate pleasure
feelings which the brain prefers. In other words, people begin to manipulate this perception and
enjoy the short–term effects because it becomes more satisfying not to complete the task. This
habit can start to control how or when we choose to tend to our responsibilities (Spencer). I
recognize this feeling on a daily basis. For example, there was a day that I decided I was going to
study in the library as I would hopefully be more productive in that setting. However, as soon as I
sat down I began to fiddle with everything I could get my hands on. From obnoxiously twirling my
pencil to watching time–consuming YouTube videos, I wasn 't very productive, and as a result, I
had to cram until two AM for an exam the next day. I had always known thatprocrastination was
satisfying, and now with this new information that confirms that it feeds off of my "good" feelings
based on my body 's anatomy. Moving on, I then researched how to recognize why myself and
others procrastinate in the first place. The first reason people procrastinate is that they "become"
perfectionists. As procrastination becomes a more common act, it can also bring about the action of
perfectionism. Harold Taylor does a fantastic job at identifying perfectionism, along with other
reasons

The Right Decision In To Kill A Mockingbird
Sometimes the right choice is not always the easy choice. In the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird,
by Harper Lee, a lawyer, and father, Atticus, makes the difficult decision to defend a black man,
Tom Robinson, in court. Atticus and his children, Scout and Jem, live in the very prejudiced
town of Maycomb, Alabama. While trying to raise and teach his children, Atticus is asked to
defend Tom in court. He decides to take the case, despite the fact that they will most likely lose.
Atticus made the right decision when he took Tom Robinson's case because he wanted to prove
prejudice wrong, it was the kinder, more respectful decision, and he wanted to teach his kids an
important lesson. Atticus, aware of the prejudice in his town, took the case with the intent of
proving prejudice to be wrong. When Scout learns about the war going on in Germany because of
Hitler, she asks Atticus if it is okay to hate Hitler. He responds by saying, "It's not okay to hate
anybody" (330). Scout learns about the horrible things Hitler is doing to the Jewish people and
assumes it would be okay to hate him because of it. Although Atticus would never agree with the
things Hitler had done, he still does not hate him, or anyone. Atticus disagrees with the way many
people in Maycomb show hate towards black people and tells Scout she should never hate anyone.
Additionally, he shows respect after Tom Robinson is killed when he drives to his home to tell
Tom's family the horrible news. Once he arrives, he sees

Persuasive Essay On Conspiracy Theories
The Internet has played a large role in my interest in conspiracy theories. Although I definitely do
not believe all of them, they are fun to look into and are good tools for procrastination. Falling
deeper into the hole that is Wikipedia, I spent a large amount of my free time "researching" them. It
got to the point where I had to force myself to actually work on homework instead. However, I am
not one of those crazy conspiracy theorists; I am only interested in ones that seem legit. All
interesting conspiracy theories have similar qualities. A majority of them involve the government or
celebrities. And depending on the theory, they are believable.
My personal favorites all happen to involve the government, some classics included. It is said that
9/11 was an inside job perpetrated by Bush to purposely start a war with Afghanistan. Some
survivors recall that they heard separate explosions at the time of the attacks, which has led people
to believe that there were pre–planted explosives inside the Twin Towers. It is a well known fact
that the towers collapsed at one point, but this is seen as suspicious to many conspiracy theorists. A
common known phrase among believers is "jet fuel can't melt steel beams." Another widely believed
theory is that the Royal Family killed Princess Diana. There are a few versions, one of which is that
they killed her to prevent her from exposing the Family for being awful and corrupt. The other is
where she was killed for loving a man of color,

Persuasive Essay On Climate Change
Climate Change
Not everyone in the world has noticed that the climate has changed throughout the years. The
negativity of climate alternation comes from pollution, weather, and temperature changes, which
will endanger the earth. However, it's possible that some people in the world are willing to help;
people are trying to decrease the chances of climate modification from raising. Even though climate
change is very bad for the earth and toward humans, no one can put an end to this problem due to
several causes which will affect us. Three different outcomes that surround the topic climate change
comes from our human activities, environment changes, and human health issues. These are the
reasons why it causes climate changes to create negative effects on the earth.
Greenhouse gases are the reason why climate change has affected the environment for many years.
Changes that can happen in the environment could be how cold is the temperature today, how much
sunlight is being produced during the day or is there enough clean water. The environment gets
affected when "the atmosphere traps the heat radiate into the Earth toward space" (NASA 1). When
that happens the environment will change the "impacts on human systems which involve food
production, local livelihoods, and health" issues (Environment and Climate Change Canada).
Different type of effects that can happen to the earth could be "sea levels, droughts, floods and
other extreme weathers, climate change ecosystem and extinction threats" (Greenpeace
International 1). Other living things such as insect, bird, or plant will be extinct or will move to
different places in the world and this will affect human health issues (National Geographic 1).
These issues will cause trouble to the earth's environment, and it's not possible to know when the
problems will turn more worst. Ice melting from the Arctic has increased, due to climate change and
it will harm the polar bears, seals, and penguins (National Geographic 1). My grandmother has
grown vegetables in her backyard, and as the climate changes, this affects the growing process of the
food. In the summer when I go outside the temperature has increased from the radiated of the sun
shining towards me.

is a skill we all possess yet we tend to give ourselves little credit for it. Besides, the ability to remain
calm under pressure and exercise self–control has a direct link to our performance. Moreover, when
it comes to self– control, it is so easy to focus on our failures that our successes tend to faded in
comparison. Furthermore, self–control is an effort that's intended to help one achieve a goal. One
thing that I do to exercise self–control at my in helping me achieve that goal at my workplace at
times is to mediate. Research shows that mediation train one brain to become a self– control
machine. In addition, while mediating, I pray and ask God for his protection for be mindful of
what I do and say. In that process one thing I do is take few minutes to focus on nothing but my
breathing and my sense, which improve self–awareness and my brain ability to resist negative
desires. Another thing is self–forgiveness. If someone wrong me I will ask God to forgive me first
then I will ask god to help me forgive that person. Impression management is a psychological
process by which people attempt to control how they are perceived by other people and groups.
When I'm at work, I do not work to impress anyone, I work so that God can be pleased with what I
do. I do not do eyes servant

  • 5. Persuasive Speech : Effective Communication In writing it's important to have an understanding of what you're trying to convey for your audience in addition to how you you will present your ideas. Effective communication extends beyond having well organized writing expressed in complete and coherent sentences. The style, tone and clarity of writing must also be considered, as they are constantly changing relative to the audience. Again, analyzing one's audience and purpose is essential to successful writing. Appropriately, when choosing the most effective language, it is important to consider the document objective as well as the reader. In essence, this idea of effective use of language has been the overarching theme of this online English course. Each writing assignment...show more content... Thus, the style of language used within the text was often industry specific and possessed a more academic feeling. For example, in the text I often used abbreviations and slang acceptable within the discourse such as, SCM Supply chain management, KPI Key performance indicator, and RDT Resource dependence. The word choice in this assignment is indicative of that fact that language is chosen in a manner that is appropriate for both the audience and the purpose of the writing. Furthermore, perhaps the greatest contrast and the most evident of how language works differently in various types of writing is the discussion blog post. The blog post allowed the class to engage in different types of formality of language. The formality of the language one uses should match the formality of the situation and the relationship between the writer and reader. Therefore, as the public audience was a class of online students taking a required writing course in the summer, the formality of my writing has often been very informal. For example, in my blog post addressing my concern over the unworthy power of BeyoncГ© I wrote, "It was the year 2008 when the world was blessed with the images of BeyoncГ© (unapologetically) dancing around in a leotard. Not only is BeyoncГ©'s single lady video one of her most notable hits it begins her what is now a decade long relationship ending spree" (Marquis, 2016 ). • 6. Persuasive Essay On Success Goals, something every human being on this planet has and to reach those goals you must be successful. We set goals to fulfill our purpose in life, but to do that, you must be successful in meeting and completing those goals. "How Bad Do You Want It?" is a motivational speech that highlights the requirements of being successful. This speech is important to study because success is so vital and important for our survival as human beings, it changes the world. No matter your race, religion, culture, etc., you want to be successful and that will have a different definition for everyone, because only you can define what success means to you. "How Bad Do You Want It" encourages its audience to think differently about wanting to be successful and how to make it happen. This speech holds all the components Aristotle says a speech needs to be effective which include, persuasive, decorative, and informational, also meaning motivational, actionable, and fun (Morgan, 2016). While watching the football player perform each exercise repeatedly, I witnessed the effort and dedication he exerted through each set – this commitment resonated with me, as I am also an athlete who is expected to elicit these qualities. Not only hay, the video serves as confirmation that success is only attainable for those who want it bad enough and are willing to work for it. Even the background music playing provoked an internal motivation to be proactive. By delivering Eric Thomas's speech in his unique hip Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 10. Persuasive Essay On Happiness There is a common misconception on happiness, people have twisted the definition of true happiness into a material–based feeling. People now find happiness in worldly values such as wealth, recognition, and success. A person learns to rely on money and success as their source of happiness rather than looking within for a more permanent solution to their sadness. The answer to a sad life is not money, recognition or success, when in reality, the answer is to and content with life. Trusting happiness is present removes any ideas believing "happiness" brought on from economic and personal success. A person should not have to develop greedy values in order to achieve a strong sense of happiness. Happiness is freely given, but people are searching for it in the wrong places; happiness is not a result of financial wellness or success, it is the result of a satisfying view on existence. For generations, wealth has signified power and happiness. If a person is wealthy, he or she has power and therefore as everything; if a person has everything, he or she is ultimately "happy." Increased wealth supposedly prompts a surge in happiness. Power and financial prosperity blur worry, caused by troubles, that a person faces by making the troubles seem minute and less daunting. The troubles are no longer troubling once money and success cover them up. New purchases and awards help cover up these worries, allowing the person to feel free and "happy" to enjoy life. Worries, however, do not stay Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 12. Persuasive Essay On Save Animals Animals are the beginning to the best nerve wrecking filled love you could ever dream of for your life. Ever since I was a young child, I've always resonated with the idea of helping animals more so than anyone and anything else in this world. My love for animals had begun when I was a mere four years old. I've always had pets: dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and much more. To find out more about how to help adoptable animals in shelters, I contacted Amanda Smasal, a community outreach coordinator at Wayside Waifs. Wayside Waifs isno–kill shelter located in Kansas City, Missouri which has adoptable dogs and cats, ready and willing to go to safe, loving homes. When I first emailed Smasal asking if she would participate in the interview, I felt overwhelming fear and began to panic about the whole encounter. The fear of having to ask someone I had never met to talk with me is something that scares me. Nonetheless, I sent the email asking politely yet efficiently to see if she would give me a few of her precious minutes to answer questions about a cause worth fighting for: animal rescue hospitals. She quickly responded to my quaint email approximately a day later stating she would happily answer any and all questions I have, significant or insignificant. The questions took a couple days to figure out. The few days I had to create the questions were filled with creativity and a tad bit of questionable ideas. The questions I asked her were the things I would want to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Now we just sit down on desks and type bunch of 0's and 1's. Although, We are still built to be active and the main way to do that today is by working out and burn our bodies at the gym. Leonowicz stated, "With this in mind, there cannot be one blanket strategy for practicing self–care (Leonowicz, 2)."One must feed his or her emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual needs. For example, I have friends who are able to change my negative mood to positive mood in a matter of seconds. Having these friendships are not only therapeutic and but also a necessity to maintaining my mental wellness. In addition to the emotional aspect, one must take care of his or her physical needs. • 15. Persuasive Essay On Health And Health Essay on Health and Diet As Joseph Campbell says "Your life is the fruit of your own doing. You have no one to blame but yourself." The majority of people in our society affirm that the best solution for our health problems is 'magic bullet'. We say that because it is the only way we find to get easy and fast results from it. When we take the magic bullet we do not think about the consequences, but then after the bad reaction, we want to blame it on the doctors or business companies that sell it. What can we do to stop society from use magic bullet as the best solution to their health problems? Here are three reasons why we should not use a magic bullet as our best solution. The magic bullet is easy for us, but not a permanent solution; it is faster to take the pain away, but addictive; Magic bullet also saves our lives but give problems in the future. First, we should not depend on the magic bullet because it is a temporary easy solution. People think of 'magic bullet' as a medicine that cures our illness like magic that happens from a day to a night. Yes, it's true! • 16. Persuasive Essay On The Art Of Art Art declares many things. It's a way for people to articulate their views, express their emotions, and communicate to the world in a way that gives them creative release. This ability to exhibit one's views in a imaginative and safe manner is exceptionally important to society's growth, and to border this freedom to articulate is detrimental. Art should not be hidden and concealed permanently from the public eye because some see it as vulgar due to the fact that many people have varying definitions as to what is crossing the line. Only certain, obvious things can be noted as truly indecent. Censorship is not an easy subject. As an artist, there is often a lot of tolerance for the obscene, from appreciation to detail on the human figure or the unique renditions of animalistic interaction. However, the majority of the public might find the same things that the artists see as a unique interpretation as vulgar. It is easy to see that such a standpoint must be taken into more consideration, as the point of indecency can differ greatly for a conservative Christian compared to a liberal atheist. The two images of what each group considers unseemly would most likely range in their obscenity, and so it would be difficult to put a line where one should be crossed. "If an image offends very many people, sooner or later someone will invoke the law, and along with it judges, legislators, policymakers, and the police," quotes Melinda Hinkson in Australia's Bill Henson scandal: notes on the new cultural attitude to images. Here we have a majority rule, where an image should only have action dealt upon it if enough people want change. Such censorship is easy to determine when there are pieces depicting derogatory themes, such as child pornography or racial notions. But there are multiple cases where there are two sides of the story, and it is not as simple. A statue named Truth is Beauty by Marco Cochrane has recently been constructed in the city of San Leandro, here in the bay area. This statue depicts a nude woman dancing, her body semi–geometric, and although you can not vividly see the all of the womans body parts, it is not difficult to know that she is supposed to be depicted as naked. A completely naked figure, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Persuasive Essay On Procrastination Have you ever postponed something super important because you wanted to have fun on a Friday night? Convincing yourself "Oh, I'll just get it done tomorrow?" This action of putting off a task until the next day or a later time is called procrastination. Someone displaying procrastination would either be delaying their work for another job that they consider more important or distracting themselves with an activity that is more interesting. Many people believe that only disorganized or lazy people acquire or pick up this intrusive habit, but I disagree with this misconception. Productive people, too, occasionally lack the desire to get things done on time. Take for example myself; I have always struggled with this mannerism and even more...show more content... The prefrontal cortex is what makes an individual decide to engage in a task. With that in mind, putting work off makes it easier for the limbic system to dominate and give immediate pleasure feelings which the brain prefers. In other words, people begin to manipulate this perception and enjoy the short–term effects because it becomes more satisfying not to complete the task. This habit can start to control how or when we choose to tend to our responsibilities (Spencer). I recognize this feeling on a daily basis. For example, there was a day that I decided I was going to study in the library as I would hopefully be more productive in that setting. However, as soon as I sat down I began to fiddle with everything I could get my hands on. From obnoxiously twirling my pencil to watching time–consuming YouTube videos, I wasn 't very productive, and as a result, I had to cram until two AM for an exam the next day. I had always known thatprocrastination was satisfying, and now with this new information that confirms that it feeds off of my "good" feelings based on my body 's anatomy. Moving on, I then researched how to recognize why myself and others procrastinate in the first place. The first reason people procrastinate is that they "become" perfectionists. As procrastination becomes a more common act, it can also bring about the action of perfectionism. Harold Taylor does a fantastic job at identifying perfectionism, along with other reasons Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Persuasive Essay Persuasive Essay A person's actions are more important than what they say because it shows their loyalty and trust. What a person does is much better than what they can say , it reveals their character more. Everyone can say they can do something , but will they actually do it? Not many people will fulfill what they say they are going to do. Saying a person will do something and actually doing it are two completely different things. If you continually let people down , no one will trust you. However , if you tell someone you are going to do something and actually go through with it , you will gain their trust and they will know you are loyal. Knowing someone is loyal to you and will not go against you is a great feeling, it gives a person Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. The Right Decision In To Kill A Mockingbird Sometimes the right choice is not always the easy choice. In the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, a lawyer, and father, Atticus, makes the difficult decision to defend a black man, Tom Robinson, in court. Atticus and his children, Scout and Jem, live in the very prejudiced town of Maycomb, Alabama. While trying to raise and teach his children, Atticus is asked to defend Tom in court. He decides to take the case, despite the fact that they will most likely lose. Atticus made the right decision when he took Tom Robinson's case because he wanted to prove prejudice wrong, it was the kinder, more respectful decision, and he wanted to teach his kids an important lesson. Atticus, aware of the prejudice in his town, took the case with the intent of proving prejudice to be wrong. When Scout learns about the war going on in Germany because of Hitler, she asks Atticus if it is okay to hate Hitler. He responds by saying, "It's not okay to hate anybody" (330). Scout learns about the horrible things Hitler is doing to the Jewish people and assumes it would be okay to hate him because of it. Although Atticus would never agree with the things Hitler had done, he still does not hate him, or anyone. Atticus disagrees with the way many people in Maycomb show hate towards black people and tells Scout she should never hate anyone. Additionally, he shows respect after Tom Robinson is killed when he drives to his home to tell Tom's family the horrible news. Once he arrives, he sees Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Persuasive Essay On Conspiracy Theories The Internet has played a large role in my interest in conspiracy theories. Although I definitely do not believe all of them, they are fun to look into and are good tools for procrastination. Falling deeper into the hole that is Wikipedia, I spent a large amount of my free time "researching" them. It got to the point where I had to force myself to actually work on homework instead. However, I am not one of those crazy conspiracy theorists; I am only interested in ones that seem legit. All interesting conspiracy theories have similar qualities. A majority of them involve the government or celebrities. And depending on the theory, they are believable. My personal favorites all happen to involve the government, some classics included. It is said that 9/11 was an inside job perpetrated by Bush to purposely start a war with Afghanistan. Some survivors recall that they heard separate explosions at the time of the attacks, which has led people to believe that there were pre–planted explosives inside the Twin Towers. It is a well known fact that the towers collapsed at one point, but this is seen as suspicious to many conspiracy theorists. A common known phrase among believers is "jet fuel can't melt steel beams." Another widely believed theory is that the Royal Family killed Princess Diana. There are a few versions, one of which is that they killed her to prevent her from exposing the Family for being awful and corrupt. The other is where she was killed for loving a man of color, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 21. Persuasive Essay On Climate Change Climate Change Not everyone in the world has noticed that the climate has changed throughout the years. The negativity of climate alternation comes from pollution, weather, and temperature changes, which will endanger the earth. However, it's possible that some people in the world are willing to help; people are trying to decrease the chances of climate modification from raising. Even though climate change is very bad for the earth and toward humans, no one can put an end to this problem due to several causes which will affect us. Three different outcomes that surround the topic climate change comes from our human activities, environment changes, and human health issues. These are the reasons why it causes climate changes to create negative effects on the earth. Greenhouse gases are the reason why climate change has affected the environment for many years. Changes that can happen in the environment could be how cold is the temperature today, how much sunlight is being produced during the day or is there enough clean water. The environment gets affected when "the atmosphere traps the heat radiate into the Earth toward space" (NASA 1). When that happens the environment will change the "impacts on human systems which involve food production, local livelihoods, and health" issues (Environment and Climate Change Canada). Different type of effects that can happen to the earth could be "sea levels, droughts, floods and other extreme weathers, climate change ecosystem and extinction threats" (Greenpeace International 1). Other living things such as insect, bird, or plant will be extinct or will move to different places in the world and this will affect human health issues (National Geographic 1). These issues will cause trouble to the earth's environment, and it's not possible to know when the problems will turn more worst. Ice melting from the Arctic has increased, due to climate change and it will harm the polar bears, seals, and penguins (National Geographic 1). My grandmother has grown vegetables in her backyard, and as the climate changes, this affects the growing process of the food. In the summer when I go outside the temperature has increased from the radiated of the sun shining towards me. Human activities Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 22. Persuasive Essay On Self Control First thing that I do every morning when I get up is pray and ask God for his protection and help me to control myself where I go during the day, it could be work, school, the store etc. Self–control is a skill we all possess yet we tend to give ourselves little credit for it. Besides, the ability to remain calm under pressure and exercise self–control has a direct link to our performance. Moreover, when it comes to self– control, it is so easy to focus on our failures that our successes tend to faded in comparison. Furthermore, self–control is an effort that's intended to help one achieve a goal. One thing that I do to exercise self–control at my in helping me achieve that goal at my workplace at times is to mediate. Research shows that mediation train one brain to become a self– control machine. In addition, while mediating, I pray and ask God for his protection for be mindful of what I do and say. In that process one thing I do is take few minutes to focus on nothing but my breathing and my sense, which improve self–awareness and my brain ability to resist negative desires. Another thing is self–forgiveness. If someone wrong me I will ask God to forgive me first then I will ask god to help me forgive that person. Impression management is a psychological process by which people attempt to control how they are perceived by other people and groups. When I'm at work, I do not work to impress anyone, I work so that God can be pleased with what I do. I do not do eyes servant Get more content on HelpWriting.net
