The LASSI is a 10-scale, 80-item assessment of students' awareness about and use of learning and study strategies related to skill, will and self-regulation components of strategic learning.
How to make good use of these opportunities and facilitations to achieve my goals and pave the way for success in my career and life?
You will not stay here forever. It will be hopefully one of the critical stages of your life.
Understand what’s required. Understand the expectation and standard. You also need to understand other people, the context or the society, the world globally and beyond.
Get Your Own Personal Formula for SuccessResearch shows that the most successful people share the common trait of self-awareness. They recognize the situations that will make them successful. They also understand their limitations and where they are not effective and this helps them understand where not to go or how not to be as well. Those who understand their natural behavioral preferences are far more likely to pursue the right opportunities, in the right way, at the right time, and get the results they desire.
• You try to do too much at once – You set yourself up for failure when you set unrealistic expectations. Is it realistic to commit to going to the gym 7 days a week if you aren’t going at all now? • You don’t have clear, measurable goals – Sometimes our goals are so general that there’s no way of knowing when we’ve reached them. What do you mean when you say that you want to grow your business? How will you know when you’ve gotten there? • You don’t have a plan - You haven’t identified the steps that you need to take to succeed. • You don’t understand what’s really holding you back – For most of us, the major reason we haven’t been able to reach our goals in the past have more to do with our fears, negative self talk and self image than our abilities to do the work. • You make resolutions around what you think you “should” do – When you make a resolution about what you think you should do but there is no enthusiasm or passion around it, chances are that you will probably not follow through. • You did not make them a priority – If there is something that you really want to accomplish, you need to make it a priority. It’s very easy to let our lives be interrupt driven and to let other people’s priorities take precedence over what we tell ourselves is important. That may mean blocking time on your calendar. It may mean only checking email once or twice a day, going someplace away from the office to get some uninterrupted work time, or getting up a little earlier than usual to exercise.
