14. National Youth Leadership Training
(NYLT)
• WHEN: July 21-26, 2019
• WHERE: Camp Reeves
Youth Leadership Training is
an exciting, action-packed
program designed for councils
to provide youth members with
leadership skills and
experience they can use in their
home troops and in other
situations demanding
leadership of self and others.

15. World Friendship Fund begins on Friday, February 1, and runs through
Friday, February 15.
This year we would like to see a huge participation for such a great reason:
Contributions to this cause are transformed into cooperative projects that
help Scouting associations in other countries to strengthen and extend their
Scouting programs. Over the years, this fund has provided Scouts from
around the world with Scouting literature, uniforms, summer camp
equipment, computers, and other Scouting-related supplies.
So, LaFayette, Highlander and Dogwood...
At your February Roundtables, the highest collected donation from
Roundtable will receive a donated Dutch Oven from the Scout Store
staff to the District!!!
A representative from the Scout Store will be at LaFayette's and Highlander's
Roundtable and donations can be turned in to that representative at
February's Roundtable.
The highest Individual Donation at the store for the entire run will receive a
gift from the Scout Shop.
Donations should be made in dollar increments - every dollar counts!

• Who: All Scouting groups are encouraged to participate in this service project
initiative.
• What: This is a time for all Scouting groups to conduct meaningful, visible
service projects of their choice in their communities. You are encouraged to
discuss and choose your projects with the help of your Scouts, committee, and
chartered organization.
• Where: Service projects can be done for your chartered organization or for the
cause of your choice. Projects done in collaboration with other organizations are
highly recommended.
• When: Projects may be conducted at any time.
• Why: Scouting was founded on the premise of doing a Good Turn daily.
Community service is very important in the character-building process and, as
Scouts, we have made the commitment to give back to our communities.
