OCI as long as their home countries allow dual citizenship in

3. If you get an OCI. It is not same as the
regular Indian citizen
You do not get an passport
You do not have voting rights
You can not be candidate for Lok sabha / Rajya sabha/legislative
assembly/council.
You can not hold employment in GOI
You can not acquire agricultural land or plantation in India.

5. PIO V/s OCI
OCI is exempted from registration with Indian Police authorities fro any
length of stay in India.
A PIO card holder is required to register with local police authorities for any
stay exceeding than 180 days in India on a single visit.
OCI is entitled to a life long visa free travel to India. For PIO card holder it is
limited to 15 years.
