- 22. (1) Ensure there’s a place to get online and get support in using it in every deprived community (There are 6,000 UK online centres across England, focused on most deprived areas)
- 23. (2) Ensure learning platforms and courses are designed for all citizens ( www.myguide.gov.uk is a gateway for all, with more than 150,000 registrations so far)
- 24. (3) Support people in social housing making sure social landlords see digital inclusion as a way of helping them and helping their tenants (We work with housing associations to, for example, put a UK online centre in the block of flats or on an estate)
- 25. (4) Ensure all sheltered housing has a communal internet suite with support and training (Landlords are helping older people in their homes working with UK online centres to provide training, inspired by outreach pilots)
- 26. (5) Drive people’s motivation to get online, support an annual Get online day, a national partner campaign (22,000 people have learnt how to use the internet via Get online days in 2007 and 2008.)
