  1. 1. TV is an electronic device that receives television signals and displays them on a screen or broadcasting visual images of stationary or moving objects. Broadcast Television is going through an exceptional time of change and contest. Broadcast Television is one of the most popular types of entertainment and information, an average British viewer still watching twenty hours or more per week. But the shooting growth of the internet and interactive media is challenging strongly for audiences and incomes.
  2. 2. how big is BBC TV The BBC is known for having one of the largest multimedia records in the world and has created a programme catalogue providing a rich source of information upon which the BBC has trusted for decades. BBC ensures that their digital content is presented both to their customers and to their audiences "whenever, wherever and however they want it” leading to further creative management of content.
  3. 3. Digital television (DTV) is the communication of audio and video, in contrast to the totally analogue and channel separated signals used by analogue television. It is an advanced service that represents a important progress in television technology since colour television in the 1990’s. Numerous countries are replacing broadcast analogue television with digital television and giving other uses of the television radio spectrum. More than a few areas are in different stages of adjustment and are implementing changed broadcasting ideals. These are four widely used digital television global broadcasting standards (DTTB).
  4. 4. BBC local services and channel numbers are BBC one and BBC two. The BBC broadcasts all of the BBC One and BBC Two regional changes. on digital satellite television provides local news programmes and other regional programming with local continuousness and presentation for Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The BBC refers to the whole UK regional network as "BBC Nations and Regions"
  5. 5. The license fee is £49.00 for a black and white TV Licence and It costs £145.50 for a coloured TV licence. In other circumstances you may be authorized to a cheaper fee TV Licence. For example aged 74 and over You’re allowed to a free TV License when you turn 75. If you are 74 years of age, you can apply for a short-term licence. If your registered as blind You’re entitled to a 50% discount in your TV Licence fee.
  6. 6.  The BBC owns a number of broadcasting stations both in television and radio.              They are: BBC one, BBC Two, BBC Three, BBC Four, BBC News, BBC Parliament, Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4, Radio 5 Live, CBBC, CBeebies,
  7. 7.  All of the BBC's television and radio stations have a public service remit, including those that broadcast digitally.  broadcasting which is intended for the public and will benefit rather than for purely commercial concerns.
