13. BMC Software joined forces with Hanul Technologies to light up one
village.
Sakur village in Sangmner Taluka of Ahemadnagar District with 23
households.
Each household was donated with Solar Powered LED Lighting
System.
Seven street lights were installed in the village.

possible to relocate excess energy to the needy.
A small village with about 50 homes with Smart Street Lights and a
Filtered Water Pumping System will require only about 15 Kilowatt
Hours per day.
16. A Television Set with DTH & One Computer with internet connection
will take about 5 Kilowatt hours per day.
A Solar/Windmill hybrid battery charging station to charge hand
held Torch for about 50 No’s.
Kids can study at home in the evening and can have a better
prospect for future.
Household electrification increases the likelihood that woman can
earn sustainable income.
