Trip to Karimunjawa
At the new year eve 2012 as usual, me and my cousin had regular activity. It was
gathering to celebrate new years and burnt the fireworks. We shared each other our own
experience and of course laugh together. Aji my aunt’s son who was very innocent always
became the jokes while we were chat. Different with Aji, Helmi his brother always gives
joke, funny story, and else which was made to break the ice. While we talked each other, we
also planned to have vacation together. Motivated with people’s stories on the blog about a
trip to Karimunjawa, we finally decided going there in February. Unfortunately after we
looked for information about that, we got the result that in January through March is the
month where there was no crossing by ferry from Jepara to Karimunjawa. Then we decided
to go there in July 2012 to see the paradise in the north of java. Everyone going on the trip
there in July had to sign up 3 weeks before departure.
In 5 July 2012 we had been in Jepara because it was the city where our grandparent
lived. Finally the day was come. I went to Karimunjawa Island with 5 others. My uncle drove
us down to the Kartini Port. Here was the place that required us to re-register and gathered
with the other tour group. We would spend 4 days and 3 nights.
We got into the boat Muria. This boat was not too big but comfortable. The trip to
Karimunjawa with KMP Muria would take approximately 6 hours. Unfortunately there was
something trouble, the halyard stuck in the propeller fan. Consequently the departure was
delayed until 1 hour.
Arriving in Karimunjawa, we immediately checked in homestay, unpacked, cleaned-up
and looking for dinner. On that night I decided to sleep early to restore power that has been
drained today .
Saturday till Sunday was the best day I was waiting for because I could do my hobby, it
was playing water. Saturday to Sunday schedule was so full time. It began with ice breaking
then snorkeling on the island of Menjangan Besar, Menjangan Kecil, Cemara Besar, Tengah,
Kecil, Gosong, etc. Then we grilled fish.
2. Armed with a snorkel, fins, and mask borrowing from the swim equipment rent. Then
we went to the port. Along the way to snorkelling spots I was amazed the beauty of the
surrounding scenery. Amazing ..! Without further ado, we wear all the equipment and..
BYUURR!! Just dabbling with seawater for a while, it feels cold and the seawater seems so
clear. So looking down, there was a lot of fish over here. The coral reefs still very nice and I
thought it should be preserved. I feel very happy because that was the first time I could see
the underwater paradise which is located on the northern tip of Java island.
After snorkelling, certainly we felt starving. We had a lunch was always accompanied
by grilled fish menus which is very tasty. Near the beach there were a shark breeding. Here
we could swim with small sharks. But I decided not to swim. Then in the afternoon we saw
beautiful sunset in the nirvana beach.
The last day at 07.00 we were already in the Port returned to Jepara. At 14.00 we
arrived in Jepara. When I got there, we still might wait my uncle to pick us to our
grandmother's house.
