4. Even to our surprise,a chord of harmony and
affection was struck so brilliantly between
the staff and the very new bitsians, that a
function became almost natural on the
teacher’s day. Well, so here we kickstarted
with the very first college event within just
a week of our entry into the campus. It was
a note of thanks to our teachers who had
made us feel at home when we were suddenly
thrown into a new world. We were a bit
apprehensive but thanks to our lovely
teachers who taught us how to stretch our

 Pearl-the 1st intra college cultural fest
organised solely by the efforts of students
with commendable support by the teachers.!!
 The event rocked to the extreme and
became a grand success , the presence of the

 We BPHCians celebrated
SCIENCE DAY in commemorating
the contributions of Dr. C.V.Raman
to science. We tried to put in our
best efforts to make this event
one of the landmarks in the history
of BPHC. Our efforts were well
received and appreciated
immensely. SCIENCE DAY rocked
to the core. This event truly
imbued all BPHCians with the spirit

10. FoUnDaTiOn DaY
 On 28th April,2007 a new campus of
BITS PILANI was born with the spirit
to strive continuously for excellence. We
celebrated the Foundation Day on 28th
april,2009.!!
 The event started with an inspiring
speech by the honorable chief guest
followed by awesome performances by
the music club, dance club as well as the
drama club.!!

14. THE BITSIAN METHODUS….
With every dawn the campus rises to
new heights thanks to the bubbling
enthusiasm amongst the new born close
knit BITS family. This has resulted in
various cultural association forming
their roots among the students. To
nurture the budding BITSian talents,
various student bodies have also been
formed to facilitate the smooth running
of the campus activities and to provide
adequate exposure to the students to
groom their overall personalities.

15. SPORTSWAR
It is not at all easy to subdue the sheer
enthusiasm of the incorrigible BPHCians. So, here
we come to the events which automatically acquire
prime importance amongst us - the sports
events
We go on to the various events which infuse us
with sentiments of comraderie, fairplay and sheer
enjoyment. A number of events have been
organized like the volleyball league,cl-09 ,gaming
league , T.T. Tournament and many more…
Even in the first year the BPHCians have made
their presence felt at the national level
competitions like SPREE -09 ,BOSM -08 and
various other tournaments held in and around the

So , now let us proceed with some social issues.
BITS has always believed in doing its bit towards
the society and we at Hyderabad firmly believe in
the idea. Henceforth, various environmental
programs , associations with the aim of spreading
social awareness and NSS activities are running
successfully and effectively. Dignitaries from all
spheres of life have visited the campus and
students have shown their earnest interest in
volunteering for all sorts of socio beneficial
organisations. A candle march was organized as
our contribution to the world’s response to Mumbai
terror attacks.

18. THE FESTIVITIES
India is a land of festivals and we as Indians
love to celebrate all kinds of festivals and
revelries. So how can we BITSians lag behind?
The campus is a wonderful melting pot of
communities from across India which gives the
institute its unique flavor. It gets beautifully
reflected in the celebration of all festivals
round the year: Holi, Diwali, Ugadi, Ganesh
Chaturthi, Navratri. The cultural associations
have helped a lot in taking the celebration of
these festivals to new heights and much more
is expected from them in times to come.

20. FUTURE BLOCKS
Last but not the least, no job is complete without
a concrete future plan. The Pearl ‘10 is going to
be the biggest inter college cul-fest which the
Hyderabadi audience has ever witnessed and would
be conducted on a national scale. As we proceed
to gain more & more technical knowledge with
time, the technical fest shall also shape up and
turn out to be full of radiance and vigor.
To enunciate the vitality of the students, a grand
sports fest is also planned. We have a series of
R & D centers coming up working in all spheres to
elevate the campus to even bigger stature.
