Australopithecus sediba was a species of early hominin that lived in South Africa between 1.9 and 1.77 million years ago. In 2008, the skeletal remains of two individuals were discovered near Malapa, South Africa by paleoanthropologist Lee Berger and his team. The partial skeletons provided insights into the anatomy and possible way of life of Australopithecus sediba.
