4. There are 16 slots on the wheel. Out of those 16 slots, 12
are blue, 3 are red, and 1 is black. You have to pay twenty
five cents to spin the wheel. If it lands on blue you don't
get your money back. If it lands on red we double your
money (fifty cents). If it lands on black we triple your
money (seventy five cents).

6. How Did This Game Come To Be?
To figure out a profitable game we first had to invent the game, including
the rules, regulations, prizes, and consequences. Once we had our game
down, we figured out what the probability was of getting a blue, red, or
black out of 16 slots after you spin it. We put this information in chart
format. (Below)
Probability and Possibility Calculations
Branching Probability Chart
In order to make this easier to
understand we decided to create a
Branching Probability Chart. This
chart really explains 3 scenarios
that can happen:

7. You can spin and get a Blue.
You can spin and get a Red or…
You can spin and get a Black.
Remember, each one of these
scenarios has a probability:
Blue, 12/16
Red, 3/16
Black, 1/16
Also remember the prizes:
Blue, don’t get your money
back
Red, we double the money you
paid
Black, we triple the money you
paid
Expectation Value
What is and Expectation Value?

8. An Expectation Value is your result at the end of a game. For example, if
your Expectation Value is negative then it is most likely you will lose playing
the game, but if it is positive then you are most likely to win the game. Take
in mind that this Expectation Value becomes more accurate as you play
more times.
How to find an Expectation Value?
To find the
expectation value we
had to find t h e
probability of getting
blue, red, and black.
We then found the
payoff of those and
multiplied it with the
probability to find out
the value of losing,
winning double,
and winning triple. Then we took these values and added them together to
find the Expectation Value of the game.

9. Terms You Should Know
What is your loss, our
profit?
Well, this Expectation Value Matrix was made from your perspective, so
you are likely to lose four cents every time you play. Once again, I say likely
because the more you play the game that more accurate to losing four

10. cents you will get. On the other hand, we actually make low profit: we earn
four cents every time someone plays.

Measurements:
Radius of Wheel: 14.75 in.
Area of Circle: pi x (radius) 2
Area of Wheel: 3.14 x (14.75 in) 2
3.14 x 217.5625 in = 683.15 in 2
Area of a Slot: area of wheel ÷ total # of slots
683.15 in 2 ÷ 16 = 42.7 in 2
Area of Wheel: 683.15 in 2 Area of a Slot: 42.7 in 2

12. Construction Conclusion:
The construction of the casino game project named
quot; You Spin Me Right Roundquot; is simple yet very
effective. It consists of a wheel that is organized and
nailed with only the finest building materials and
supplies. The wheel is perfectly round and is not
weighted on any of the sides giving
the game a fair balance and
causing our expected value to
be more accurate. The wheel is
joined with a wooden board
attached to a plastic flap. The wheel is covered in
felt and has 16 blue, red, and black slots on it. The
construction took a few days to start because of the
collection of materials, but in general the product
turned out very clean and professional.
