Music Sofa When furniture is fused with high tech kit the results are often about as comfortable and stylish as sandpaper g- string. But the new Music Sofa by designer Giongkun Wuqiongkun defies the norm with its charmingly curvaceous lines and comfy interior cushion, which sent us from nought to napping in only a few seconds… until we were suddenly awoken by some beefy rock riffs. See, this sofa contains a stonking wireless speaker set- up. Plus with a built in CD player it should be music to your ears. PREÇO: desconhecido Tuesday 24 March 2009
  9. 9. Parrot by Philippe Starck Wireless Speakers Standing at 2.5 feet tall, the minimalist looking tower speakers dubbed Zikmu features an iPod or iPhone docking station on one speaker and comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The latter enables the two speakers to sync with each other and stream music from mobile phones or portable music players without the need for connecting cables. Hence the twin speakers can be positioned anywhere in a room, and controlled via a remote. Thanks to Parrot’s patented NXT technology, the speakers do not require woofers or tweeters, but instead uses an extra-flat membrane that creates vibrations across its entire surface to reproduce the medium and treble frequencies. Parrot says the technology optimally radiates sound from both sides of the speaker, producing 360° surround sound. PREÇO: US$1.500 Tuesday 24 March 2009

  12. 12. AMP Speaker There are plenty of stupidly big speakers out there, but how many of them make good use of their hulking sizes? Not many. That's why this AMP speaker is so awesome: it's not only a speaker, but it's also a desk. It's an active speaker, meaning it has an amplifier built into it. Because of that, that necessitated a big case, so why not make it useful? How awesome would it be to have sound coming out of your entire desk? It's not clear if this is a mere concept or an actual (expensive) product, but I want one, badly. PREÇO:desconhecido Tuesday 24 March 2009
  13. 13. AMP Speaker Music became portable thanks to mp3 players and especially thanks to Ipod. Outdoor we can listen music with headphones; we can use a mp3 player at home too but we need to connect it with a speaker and with electric power. For these reason all mp3 speakers are quite static. The Bulb-Sound-Speaker allows you to transform every lamp into a speaker. You are free to move because everywhere you can find a lamp (a floor lamp, a desk lamp, a wall lamp) to connect it: you have just to unscrew the bulb lamp and swich on your Ipod: it will send music to the speaker and it will work as a remote control thanks to the Bluetooth transmitter. The bulb is made of transparent plastic. Inside it there are a transformer, the Bluetooth receiver and obviously the speaker. The project, developed with Tommaso Ceschi, has won the honorable mention PREÇO:desconhecido Tuesday 24 March 2009
  14. 14. Ipod docking station We love multi-function, hi-tech, and cool, so here is an iPod docking station / speakers / contemporary lamp combo from designer Sang Hoon Lee of Korea that covers all the bases. The iPod which is quickly working its way into every space we occupy finds a place on our night stands or desk in a stylish package. I am not sure where to get one but I have a feeling these will make it to the mainstream product market very soon. PREÇO:desconhecido Tuesday 24 March 2009
  15. 15. Magic Spheres Disco comes home with these shimmy speaker spheres that hang on the walls like a mural or artwork. Adorable and very sexy, the lights patterns displayed by the set go in sync with the rhythm and beats of the music being played. Beyond awesome is the graphic bars representation that corresponds to the equalizer of the speakers. The woofers coordinate perfectly with either your PC or Home Theater and put on an amazing lights and sound show for you. A ring-sized finger-touch controller helps you navigate the setup. Using this controller you can even do the usual stuff of play/pause/rewind etc. and manipulate your PC/ HT. PREÇO:desconhecido Tuesday 24 March 2009
  16. 16. Moonlight speakers Spending some time with your loved one under the moonlight can be very romantic, and these Moonlight Speakers help to usher in the loving feeling by concealing speakers which are capable of handling anywhere from 120 to 200 watts of amplification. These speakers also project sound in a 360-degree dispersion pattern, which means you get to listen to great sounding audio no matter where you're standing. The party animals among you will love the color-changing LED bulb that add variety, while the durable weatherproof polyethelene shell used to make the globes are perfect for outdoor use. The Moonlight Speakers target nightclubs, but those with really large mansions might want to experiment by installing one of these at home. PREÇO:desconhecido Tuesday 24 March 2009
  17. 17. Soundshelf Polish designers Witek Stefaniak and Anielka Zdanowicz has come out with this unique multifunctional product called Soundshelf, an interesting new home audio design concept that combines a stereo speaker and a CD/DVD shelf. It comes in two different shapes, wall and tower shelves giving you the possibility to arrange the interior in the modern style. With the simple, multifunction design element here, you can definitely save some space in a very stylish and useful way. Sadly, it’s just a concept for now! PREÇO:desconhecido Tuesday 24 March 2009
  18. 18. Inflatable Lounger This Inflatable Lounger (GBP 20; about $40) built-in two speakers that you can connect your i-Pod, MP3 player, or CD player. It also has another desirable feature to make you time at sea more enjoyable. The Inflatable Lounger features it is easy to inflate and deflate, and does not need batteries or power cables. Of course, most important of all, it has a acceptable price. PREÇO:us$40 Tuesday 24 March 2009
  19. 19. Boom Bench If you live in constant fear of coming across a gang of youths listening to tinny music from their cellphones and staring moodily at passers-by, good news! Now they’ll be able to play their music with far more bass and mid-range, courtesy of German designer Michael Schoner of NL Architects. His Boom Bench connects via Bluetooth A2DP and is positively riddled with speakers and subwoofers. 60W co-axial speakers share bench-space with two subwoofers. There’s also a bass shaker built into the seat to provoke the half-overwhelmed, half-ecstatic expression on the woman in the gallery below. Honestly, this seems an awful idea for most cities where dissuading disgruntled youth from congregating has become top priority. Still, if you could build in some sort of seniority-override function, perhaps passing elderly people with cellphone collections of old band- hall music could dissipate them.
