I now feel more confident about this area of teaching and learning Alan McLean was excellent. Really enjoyed massage The session on dyslexia was really valuable. It was great to get an overview and to learn of sources of further information Grief and loss session was particularly helpful as it was fully related to classroom practice and offered real examples of how to deal with school issues Samba drumming – fantastic experience taking drums outside and playing in front of the building Work-life balance lecture was really helpful – we really needed to have those issues pointed out to us!

It was great to hear both primary and secondary points of view and how important they feel H&W is to the curriculum The Heads discussion … gave a good insight into a variety of topics from individuals working with the curricula in every day situations The talks from the headteachers were very motivating and helpful The headteacher’s talk was particularly good and a highlight of the day

These were very important issues. Small groups allowed for interaction. Knowing the programme a few weeks prior to the day and being able to book the courses on MOODLE was very good All of the sessions were very informative and I feel I can use the information and experiences gained from the conference in my future teaching career A good way to end the course with info to meet future challenges and a feelgood factor to top it off

[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],The Approaches More like this earlier and throughout the course please I would have liked to have done all of the morning workshops as they were all so relevant Excellent way to end the course – wish we could have had experienced more of this during the year. It would have been of benefit to have a teacher who had just completed their probation year for a Q&A session regarding the life/work balance during that year and to answer questions on what to expect This sort of day should be held at different points over the year.
