My job that I am interested in is an orthopedic
surgeon. I choose this job because I like science, it
has a good salary which is $400,000 to $900,000 a
year.
3. Education
For this job you can go to many colleges. I would
recommend Georgia University and UAB. You
will need a bachelors degree and a medical
degree.
4. Daily Activities
• When you’re an orthopedic surgeon, every
day you probably will plan surgery, do
surgery, or give your patient x-rays and look
at where they have their problem.
5. How to Get There
A few steps to be an orthopedic surgeon are:
• to stay in school
• learn all the bones in the human body
• study about them in high school and middle
school
• take lots of science and math classes,
especially biology, chemistry, and anatomy
6. Work Conditions
• You will work in a hospital inside the surgery
room. You will work a lot because if someone
has an emergency, a surgeon will be needed.
• You will also have an office where you will see
patients.
7. Skills
• One of the skills you will need is steady hands
so you can cut and slice in good straight and
diagonal lines . One other skill you will need is
good concentration because there might be a
lot of noise while you are doing surgery on a
patient.
