Project Assignment & Result
Task 1. Obsolescence of Rounds Limit Switches
Evaluated current specification drawings and existing
designs to improve material selections and
developed Pro-E designs for new assembly build-to-
print drawings to meet all environmental &
performance requirements for Warner Robins Air
Logistics Command. Performed some Qual by
analysis and verification by cycle test and fire test.
Fielded on F-15, F-16, & A-10 aircraft.
Project Assignment & Result
Task 2. Specification of Servo System Motors
Evaluated mechanical dynamic loads of ammo
handling control systems to determine effects of
inertia and acceleration & speed requirements to
meet time lines for many test case scenarios.
Optimized motor performance for size & weight.
Motor performance met gun firing time line on
Crusader Self-propelled Howitzer and ammo field
supply mission of the Resupply Vehicle.
Project Assignment & Result
Task 3. JSF Aircraft Cables for Lockheed Martin
Designed aircraft military interface cables to meet
customer requirements for light-weight construction
materials while meeting the high temperature specs,
functional electrical system performance, and the EMI
test requirements. Cables met EMI under electrical
system loads. Also, designed cables for the JSF 20mm
Gatling guns to meet rigors of firing & gun system
recoil.
Project Assignment & Result
Task 4. Create EFV Software Test Requirements
Based on turret system specifications for ammo
handling system, developed software test cases to
meet derived requirements for the embedded
control unit. Developed the test plan & validated the
bench-top system performance using servo motor
loads. Part of electrical project team that developed
the electronic control unit, firmware, motors, and
cables for the ammo feed system.
