them through Moses.”

where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is My respect?’ says the
LORD of hosts to you, O priests who despise My name. But you say, ‘How
have we despised Your name?’ 7 “You are presenting defiled food upon My
altar. But you say, ‘How have we defiled You?’ In that you say, ‘The table of
the LORD is to be despised.’ 8 “But when you present the blind for sacrifice,
is it not evil? And when you present the lame and sick, is it not evil? Why not
offer it to your governor? Would he be pleased with you? Or would he receive
you kindly?” says the LORD of hosts. 9 “But now will you not entreat God’s

temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of

were selling the doves He said, “Take these things away; stop making

15. 17 But in giving this instruction, I do not praise you, because you
come together not for the better but for the worse. 18 For, in the first
place, when you come together as a church, I hear that divisions exist
among you; and in part I believe it. 19 For there must also be factions
among you, so that those who are approved may become evident
among you. 20 Therefore when you meet together, it is not to eat the
Lord’s Supper, 21 for in your eating each one takes his own supper
first; and one is hungry and another is drunk. 22 What! Do you not
have houses in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the church
of God and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you?
Shall I praise you? In this I will not praise you.

Editor's Notes
With all the diverse forms of worship today, how do we know if OUR worship is pleasing to God?
Many would say, “All worship is pleasing to God.”
From Genesis 4 we know that not all worship is pleasing to God!
Only by studying God's word can we learn how worship God by faith.
The Old law is a good starting point to examine God's attitude toward worship. The Old Testament worship was a reflection of their attitude toward God
From our 5 Day Daily Bible reading schedule, we have been reading from Leviticus about God's Law for worship under the Law of Moses.
Again, NOT ALL WORSHIP IS PLEASING TO GOD! Only worhip according to His commandments is pleasing to Him
Our worship to God is holy, ONLY BECAUSE GOD IS HOLY!
We learn from the Son of God, His view of our worship to Him.
Whatever we do, our focus should be TO BE PLEASING TO HIM! “I like a pipe organ.” “I don't see anything wrong with a praise band.” What I want is not what matters! Only God's word can answer the question, “Is OUR worship pleasing TO GOD?”
The frist century church turned the world upside down, now the world has turned the church upside down.
Our worship is a reflection of our relationship to God!
