and the choices you make. If you do this you will encourage you to be consistent, it is an great trait 
to have. 
By being a leader, you can help improve your personal development. When thinking about 
leadership, think about it in terms of your level of influence on the world around you. Examine how 
far you have grown as a leader. Which experiences have been enriching for you? How did you use 
those events to better yourself? When you work with a group, what attributes do you tend to rely on? 
Ask yourself these questions in order to see how you will be as a member of a team. 
If you would like to move forward in self improvement, you should be humble. Understanding that 
you are a minute portion of the world will help you think about your level of knowledge. You can 
then focus your attention on positive growth and development. 
Always look for opportunities to compliment another person. By being kind to others, you will also 
begin to care about yourself more. 
You need to have an emergency fund. Each time an unexpected expense crops up, it seems we wind 
up adding it to our credit cards. Even a few dollars per week can quickly add up to a nice savings. 
This fund can take the stress out of unexpected situations and can likewise help you to avoid piling 
up any more credit card debt. 
Therapy is the answer for many with serious problems. While self-help books can be effective, many 
cannot provide the benefits that come from personal, targeted interaction with a therapist. Simply 
talking to someone might can assist you in finding motivation. Books can't interact with people the 
way a trained psychiatrist is able to.
