I. Water Security in China under the Global Climate Change .

The global climate change has a far-reaching impact on human being’s survival and development . change faced by all the countries. It is a critical

Water is the most direct and important area affected by the global climate change. In recent years, the uneven distribution of water resources in timing and space becomes more obvious, the extreme climate events occur more frequently . ,[object Object],[object Object]

A ffected by the heavy rainfalls and the earthquake in Sichuan Province in 2008, a number of rock-mud flows occurred in Gansu and Sichuan provinces and other places which caused serious injuries and deaths. ,[object Object]

The global climate change will definitely influence or even threaten the water security.

II . Climate Change Adaptation in relation to Water Resources Management in China

Facing with the challenging situation of global climate change, the Chinese Government attaches great importance to the adaptation of climate change to ensure the water security.

1 、 To strengthen integrated water resources management.

2 、 To optimize water resources allocation and regulation .

3 、 To firmly promote the building of water-saving society .
