6. Filming…
Cost: Roughly 250 million dollars (165 million pounds) was spent on producing the film, $65
million more than the amount spent on the Dark Knight and $100 million more than Batman
Begins. This figure includes everything except marketing and the distribution of the product,
which then increases the overall spend.
Location: During December 2010, Christopher Nolan began searching for filming locations
and a large range of places were decided on. These places included multiple sites in India,
Romania, Michigan, America, England and Scotland.
11. My Review…
I think that The Dark Knight Rises was a brilliant end to the insane trilogy. The film is close to 3
hours long, but runs without a dull moment, which is quite hard to achieve and also features
collection of incredible actors which makes it even better. Christian Bale, of course still makes is
a great Batman. Michael Cain is fantastic, giving such a powerful perfomance. Tom Hardy as
Bane is terrifying, at times and plays the part incredibly successfully and Anne Hathaway as
Catwoman/Selina Kyle is as incredible as always. The whole cast is brilliant, and the dynamic
scenes between the actors are so well done, so well written, and so well directed. The Dark
Knight Rises is my favourite film for all of these reasons.
