New Norfolk, VA based startup company READY Associates recently launched in Hampton Roads, Virginia, with a new business staffing service positioned at the forefront of the rise of the gig economy. Alternative work arrangements like gigs, freelance, contingent & contract work represent a growing dynamic in the economy of the U.S. and new reality for many American workers, and according to new research:

• More than 15% of the US labor market is now made up of “alternative” work
• This type of work collectively represents 80% or more of net new job growth since 2005
