Abstract
The present research is the type of the practical, descriptive and correlative researches that
deals with the study of the ways to make children attracted to public libraries. The statistical
population of this research consists of 10 to 12 year-old children in Dezful county
(Khouzestan province) and as a sample, a group of 50 children has been studied through the
cluster sampling method . Questionnaires in form of Likret scale designed by the researcher,
have been used as a research tool to monitor children's trend and the ways of making them
attracted to the public libraries.
The results show that there is a meaningful relationship between holding different educational
courses, storytelling or play sessions, sport recreations, various book fair events, providing
audio-visual sources from one side and children's trend to the public libraries as the other side.
