This document discusses workplace violence, including definitions, types, statistics, risk factors, and recommendations for prevention. It covers four types of workplace violence based on the relationship between victim and offender (strangers, customers/clients, coworkers, personal relations). Ten risk factors are identified relating to people, mobility, time/place, and money/property. Warning signs and post-incident response are also addressed. OSHA guidelines recommend engineering, administrative and training controls to prevent workplace violence.
