In this talk about Apache Flink we will touch on three main things, an introductory look at Flink, a look under the hood and a demo. * In the introduction we will briefly look at the history of Flink and then go on to the API and different use cases. Here we will also see how it can be deployed in practice and what some of the pitfalls in a cluster setting can be. * In the second section we will look at the streaming execution engine that lies at the heart of Flink. Here we will see what makes it tick and also what distinguishes it from other approaches, such as the mini-batch execution model. The fact is: you monitor your IT, but you can only hope that your services will work. Time to change that. Time to use a framework. Time to use Robot Framework. My presentation will show you the demand for End2End-Monitoring and why Robot Framework is an excellent choice for automated application tests. You will also get to know Robotmk, the link between Robot Framework and Checkmk. It dovetails both tools extremely closely and gives your infrastructure monitoring a holistic approach. It is used by companies of diverse branches, as well as by authorities and governments. And once you have discovered the KubernetesLibrary, DataDriver, RequestsLibrary and all the many more libraries, you will not want to put Robot Framework down again. But that’s another story…

Speakers: Joaquim Espinhara, Rafael Silva Language: English The goal of this talk is present a way to abuse a default feature of Cisco routers. The feature mentioned is the Embedded Packet Capture (EPC), described by the Cisco: "... a powerful troubleshooting and tracing tool. The feature allows for network administrators to capture data packets flowing through, to, and from, a Cisco router." We were able to abuse this feature and build a system to collecting massive data and store them for analysis purpose. The PoC developed uses multiple Cisco routers configured with default accounts to send their data traffic (input, output or both) to our repository and finally we are able to starting the processes to transform these raw data packet files in useful information. Such as user credentials, pre-shared key keys, URLs and many other potential sensitive data can be extracted, but additional "features", like cyber attacks, are planned for the future. The subject presented by the researchers would help a simple penetration tester during a usual engagement , additionally it's possible configure a larger set of routers to collect data and build a huge database, hack the planet style. The content of this presentation results from independent research conducted by me on my own time and of my own accord. In this talk, we'll go over the current state of WebRTC (both the awesome parts and the parts which need to be improved) as well as what could come in the future. Mostly though, we'll take a look at how to combine WebRTC with other web technologies to create great experiences on the front-end for real-time, p2p web apps.

Individual microservices are relatively easy to develop, but managing a distributed system composed of microservices is never a simple task. Kubernetes helps, but it falls short of providing everything such a system needs. This is where the Istio Service Mesh comes in. Running microservices in production, you'll soon realize you want things like traffic splitting, automatic connection retries, timeouts and failovers, secure communication and authentication between your services, distributed metrics, tracing and logging. By introducing Istio into your architecture, you get all of that and more. And you get most of it without changing your code at all. In this talk, you'll see a demonstration of Istio in action and learn about the tricks that make its magic possible.
