How Do You Learn Best?*
NAME: Brandon Miller
Auditory. Describe a recent class situation in which you understood the material by
hearing an explanation. You really got it! Rate how often this happens on a scale of 1
(almost never) to 5 (almost always). Explain why you think you got it or why you think
you did not get it.
Answer: I would say a three because I am use this method sometimes but only in certain
cases so I would say I am in between for this skill.
Visual. Describe a recent class situation in which you understood the material by seeing
the explanation. Maybe the instructor used pictures or a model. Whatever she used,
you really got it! Rate how often this happens on a scale of 1 (almost never) to 5
(almost always). Explain why you think you got it or why you think you did not get it.
Answer: I would rate this one a five because I use this skill for myself all the time when I
take notes as well because it helps me remember what to do when taking tests when the
time comes for it.
Kinesthetic. Describe a recent class situation in which you understood the material by
physically doing something. Maybe it was a science lab or maybe you constructed a
model. Whatever happened, you really got it! Rate how often this happens on a scale of
1 (almost never) to 5 (almost always). Explain why you think you got it or why you think
you did not get it.
Answer: I would have to say one for this one I am not good with physical material but I
think it is something I could try to learn in the future so that I may be able to have a
better learning experience in the future.
Environment. Describe the environment (climate, lighting, ventilation, sound) that
helps you to learn the best.
Answer: I think that the climate helps me learn best to as what’s going on in the
enviorment as a whole.
