imagery. These videos are typically used for promotional purposes for the
artist to promote his album.
These music videos usually follow a theme and a story based on what

typically have a message and tries to connect with the audience. Genres
like Pop and R&B follow this concept. The editing techniques used in this

These type of videos are very artistic and abstract and have multiple
meanings . They tell a story but also create mood and feeling within the
viewer.

the genre
Thematic Videos . They want the audience to identify the genre easily by
showing common codes and conventions. E.g. R&B music videos are
