How did you use real media
technologies in the construction and
research, planning and evaluation
stages?
2. INTRODUCTION
• Throughout the year I have used many different
media technologies to create my products. I
have used them in the construction stages, the
research and planning and evaluation stages. I
am going to explain and give examples of the
different technologies I have used and how they
have had an impact on my work and if I found
them helpful or not.
3. ADOBE PREMIERE
• I used Adobe premiere to produce my music video. In AS I also used
the same program, however I found it hard to use as I felt new to it
and I wasn’t experienced in using it. I also felt it wasn’t up the
standards I hoped for as I used too many special effects and it was
sophisticated enough. This year in A2 I had much more time to learn
on this and felt as if I have learnt a lot, and grown from last year. On
Adobe premiere I have produced my music video for the
construction of my products and also used it as another source of
promotion for the song.

5. WHAT TECHNIQUES WE USED THAT
IMPACTED OUR MUSIC VIDEO:
• -cuts
• -speed duration
• -slow motion
• -coloring
• -adding grain
• -lighting effects
6. CUTTING
• Adobe premiere allowed us to cut and paste shots in order to make
it more professional and coherent. We were able to cut shots of the
band and the storyline to fit it in with the lyrics this was very
important in our music video as ‘cutting’ allowed us to place the lip
syncing shots with the lyrics and shots of the narrative in a good
position with the lyrics.
7. SPEED DURATION
• This allowed us to speed up shots to match the lip syncing and in
some parts of the video express the theme of alcoholism and
distress from Ashley. We used speed duration in this shot…
8. SLOW MOTION
• Slow motion was used in most shots to create dramatic effect and a
build up.
9. COLORING
• We used a red toner to give off a vintage feel and we also de-
saturated, made black and white the shots from the flashback this
made it more effective and recognizable.
10. ADDING GRAIN
• We added grain to the black and white shots of the flashbacks to
make it look more film noir.
11. LIGHTING EFFECTS
• We used spotlighting on barneys face in the chorus to make this
more dramatic. We also used a lot of back lighting to create a
silhouette figure and try and get camera flare this gives off a cool
effect and makes it look like your at a real gig.
12. • I used Prezi in one of my evaluation stages, and my pre-
production audience research analysis. I used it to display
one of my evaluation questions, as its visually interesting
you can add pictures and videos on each slide and it
flows coherently. You can also use different formats so you
can really personalize your presentation. Prezi works
quickly and efficiently. I can upload screen shots easily
and then link them to the outcome. Prezi is easy to work
while having an excellent layout and professional look. I
feel as if I am skilled on prezi and I have reached my
potential because I am proud of the work I have
produced from this technology every time. And shall use it
in future cases.
13. • I have used blogger to publish all the work I have done. It’s almost
like a diary; I used it in the construction stages, the research and
planning and evaluation stages of my coursework. Blogger didn’t
just allow me to record each stage of my production but its online
nature allowed me to produce better work as I could get
inspirational ideas that I included into my work. Blogger has
allowed me to achieve the most out of my products because of
the layout, when looking through my blog, if something did not
look the way I wished for, I can easily go back to the post and
adjust certain things and then upload it again as the same post.
The advantages of using blogger is that its easy to keep track of
what you have done and if it is up to your standards. Also it is easy
to use and it’s a visually interesting and effective way to present
your work. Not only that your teacher us allowed to comment on
your posts noting you what needs to be done or completed, which
then allows you to know exactly everything you have missed out.

14. • I used adobe Photoshop to edit images of barney the main singer, I
then used these for my digi pack stage. Editing the images using this
technology allowed me to keep a coherent theme. I have learnt a
lot more tools in Photoshop and I feel I have made this evident in
my work in A2. the advantages of using Photoshop is that I could
create the genre I was aiming for and create professional products.
15. YouTube was used very frequently throughout my project, the main
advantages is that I can make iMovie's and then upload these onto
YouTube which then can be downloaded onto my blog. YouTube is
a good way of sharing with the world and getting feedback it is also
a way of making your own movie basically or video to present!

17. SLIDE SHARE AND SCRIBD
• These two technologies are very similar they allow you to make a
PowerPoint presentation then upload this onto there grabber which
turns it into a file which u can embed and upload this onto your
blog its very clever. I've used slide share many times and scribid is
new. It’s a really good and clear way of presenting work its exactly
like a slide show.

adobe premiere however
the advantage is not
everyone has t. only if you
have an apple you can
access it. It’s a really
adventurous of making a
mini clip or movie basically
its like a presentation
however more advanced u
can add music transitions
and videos. I used this a
couple of times if make
your work more personal
and high tech!
