2. Overview
• TACON Online has started in 2010 as a new
online initiative to network TESOL Arabia
conference delegates and members virtually.
• This initiative can be marked the first of its
type in the Middle East
• The imitative was inspired by what has been
already established in other similar
organizations (e.g. IATEFL online)

3. Initial proposed services
• A video archive
• Presentations archive
• A twitter channel (to inform all members and subscribers of
any upcoming announcements, links, events, sessions, or

• A chat channel
• TA SIGs discussion forums
• A poll rating module
• A comments section
• Dubai debate discussions
• Conference evaluation and feedback forms, etc..
