2. Introduction
The Consultancy “Identification and systematization of
good agricultural practices in the joined program
“improving the nutrition and food safety of the childhood
in Peru: A focussing of building development” is
financed for the Millennium Development Goals
Achievement Fund
The intention of the Program is to contribute to reduce the
poverty, the hunger, the food insecurity and the chronic
undernourishment.
3. OBJECTIVES
Main Objective
Systematization of 10 good agriculture
practices, handling and storage of foods,
management of natural resources and
environment.
4. METHODOLOGY
Search of publications and available information
about good agricultural practices in Peru and
another countries, interviews and discussions
with personnel of projects and officials of public
and private entities from the farming sector,
manage of the natural resources, environment
and the ecology, visit of the 21 experiences
selected.
5. METHODOLOGY
First stage: Planning
Coordination with the communicators of the Program and the
specialists and technicians of the FAO, on the good practices;
documentation on the educational publications and
information on the corn field aspects granted in the areas of
intervention of the project.
Second stage: Intervention in the field.
Trips to collect good practices, in Loreto, Apurímac, Ayacucho
and Huancavelica with the small farming producers.
Third Stage: Production and delivery of materials
Systematization of the information from the trips obtained in
the zones of intervention of the Program.

• In Abancay, the biol is an
organic fertilizer used in
agroecological farms; is
promoted for the NGO
called IDMA and has had
impact in the agricultural
production.

2.Farm planning and design of
agroecological farms
• The small farmers plan the crop
year in their farms, and decide
what they grow annually. They
use methodological tools as the
talking maps.

3. Growing organic amaranth:
In Andahuaylas, the producer
association of quinoa and
amaranth has introduced good
practices to produce.

4. Seed and water harvesting
In the community of
Quispillacta, Chuschi,
the shareholders, with
the support of the NGO
ABA, sow the water of
rains in the altitudes, to
harvest it in the low part,
in marshes and streams.

wasi)
The families who moved for
the violence have returned
to several locations of
Chuschi and with the
support of the international
cooperation and the NGO
ABA, now have decent
housings that enter in the
logic of the agroecological
farms of the RURANDES
program.

In Huanta, the producers
associated to
APROPALT, and with the
support of the technical
cooperation Belgian,
have obtained the
EUREPGAP norm, that
certify that they use
Good Practices, and with
it exports this bear fruit
to Europe and other
countries.

7. Ancient techniques for the
conservation of native seeds
In the country community of
Tinquerccasa, Acobamba, the farmers
have identified the techniques of selection
of positive seeds, the greening and
control of the plagues with “muña” and
eucalyptus to manage the seeds, in the
project of FAO, LLAQTAKALLPANCHAQ”
– Fortification of native organizations and
lean to the rescue of theirs traditional
products.

In Tinquerccasa, with
rustic greenhouse is
possible to produce
vegetables without
agrochemicals and with
great quality in the
mountain areas, in the
whole year, by
improving the nutrition
of the inhabitants.

INCAGRO has helped the
producers of camu camu
in the Jenaro Herrera
province, to increase the
production, through the
various technologies that
identified the Research
Institute of the Peruvian
Amazon (IIAP).

How to work traditional
agroecosystems, by
means of the
comprehension of the
local knowledge to
generate and adapt
complementary
technologies that were
investigated for the
National University of
the Amazonia and the
IIAP.
