6. The Common Good (Utilitarianism) A phrase / idea used in many places The biggest positive effect for the largest amount of people. An action following this rule is called utilitarian
7. Values and Adolescence Adolescence is an important time for our development Also the development of values When choosing values, ask yourself… Is this value positive or negative? (vague) Will it bring happiness or pain? (better) Is it better for the common good, or better for only me? (best) utilitarian (good) or selfish (bad) Aim to satisfy both!
