Proverbs 19:16 He that keepeth the Commandment
keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth His
ways shall die.
Christianity is His Way, but we have to live it,
Not just claim it.
3. 3
Matthew 21 28 But what think ye? A certain man had
two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go
work today in my vineyard. 29 He answered and said, I
will not: but afterward he repented, and went. 30 And
he came to the second, and said likewise. And he
answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. 31 Whether
of them twain did the will of his father?....
Psalm 51 (NIV) 10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast
me from Your Presence or take your Holy Spirit from
me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant
me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
4. 4
2 Corinthians 8:12 (KJV) For if there be first a
willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man
hath, and not according to that he hath not.
Matthew 8 (NIV) 19 Then a teacher of the law came
to Him and said, "Teacher, I will follow You
wherever you go." 20 Jesus replied, "Foxes have
holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of
Man has no place to lay His head." 21 Another
disciple said to Him, "Lord, first let me go and
bury my father." 22 But Jesus told him, "Follow Me,
and let the dead bury their own dead."
5. 5
Luke 14 (TLB) 26 "Anyone who wants to be My
follower must love Me far more than he does his
own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, or
sisters -- yes, more than his own life -- otherwise
he cannot be My disciple. 27 And no one can be My
disciple who does not carry his own cross and
follow Me.
Nothing of this world nor in this world
can be more important than following
Jesus and doing His Will.
6. 6
17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the
LORD; and that which he hath given will He pay
him again.
God has a heart for those in genuine need, and He
blesses His children who have the same love.
One can’t waste God’s Provision and
then expect to be cared for.
8. 8
18 Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not
thy soul spare for his crying.
(TLB) 18 Discipline your son in his early years
while there is hope. If you don’t you will ruin his
life.
9. 9
19 A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for
if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.
Any person with a terrible temper always
has to learn the hard way.
Let them suffer the consequences of their
anger, and maybe they will learn.
Don’t rescue them; they will
never learn.
10. 10
20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou
mayest be wise in thy latter end.
We don’t all have to learn
the hard way, if we will
listen and receive good
instruction, we can avoid
those pitfalls.
