3. Saul (Paul) was on the road
from Jerusalem to Damascus to
persecute Christians.
Jesus brought him down.
Who art Thou Lord?
I am Jesus Whom you are persecuting.
Paul was blinded by the Light --
the glory of God.
Review of Acts 9: 1-16
3
4. The Lord spoke to a disciple in Damascus
named Ananias to go pray for Saul (Paul) to
heal him of blindness.
He knew Saul's reputation and was afraid.
15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is
a chosen vessel unto Me, to bear My Name before
the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
16 For I will shew him how great things he must
suffer for My Name's sake.
4
5. 17 And Ananias went his
way, and entered into the house;
and putting his hands on him
said, Brother Saul, the
Lord, even Jesus, that appeared
unto thee in the way as thou
camest, hath sent me, that thou
mightest receive thy sight, and
be filled with the Holy Ghost.
5
6. Not only would Saul receive his sight;
He would also be filled with the Holy Ghost.
It is only in the Power and Anointing of God's Holy
Spirit that anyone can do anything good.
God has Plans for Saul, and He is equipping
him to do the work.
6
7. 18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it
had been scales: and he received sight forthwith,
and arose, and was baptized.
In that order.
God's children, who live our lives God's Way,
Can know that He cares for us, and
will take care of us.
7
8. 19a And when he had received meat, he was
strengthened.
Even though he was healed and filled with
God's Holy Spirit,
He still needed to eat.
8
9. 19bThen was Saul certain days with the disciples
which were at Damascus. 20 And straightway he
preached Christ in the synagogues, that He is the
Son of God.
He preached the Gospel in the Power and
anointing of God's Holy Spirit.
He turned --
9
10. 21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not
this he that destroyed them which called on this Name
in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he
might bring them bound unto the chief priests?
They all knew Saul's reputation and were
amazed that he had so completely changed.
Sinners come down to an old-
fashioned altar singing "Just as I am."
And leave singing "I've
been changed."

11. Do you want a new life?
Beauty for ashes? Joy to replace mourning?
The garment of praise to replace heaviness?
Isaiah 61: 3
Let go of your old life, your own ways,
And let God change you as He did Saul to Paul.
11
12. You must be born again!
You must be born of the Spirit of God
into the family of God.
Believe with all your heart in the God of the Bible:
Creator of all that is.
Put all your faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
Trusting in His shed Blood to wash away your sins.
Ask God to save you from sin and from hell.
